53% say the party needs to focus on message and ideas

WTF ideas and messages do they have? I mean I have an idea but it's not something you'd put on a commercial.

So, people are finally starting to realize how the Nazis came to power even if they didn't have braid support.

I guess it's not that bad it only took us 80 years.

No, they aren't. They'll say this is different because this time they're on the right side because reasons.

One of the casualties (or benefits based on perspective) of pushing the lie about cheating? Almost half of your party is persuaded to go that route themselves to win the next election. 2022 is going to be one hell of an election.

47% of 26% = 12%

So 12% of U.S. voters say they want election laws changed to skew votes toward their party. That means 88% of voters do not want that, or don't know or care.

The Republicans new message is "Ensuring Vote Integrity", making sure that voters "Trust That Thier Votes Matter", stopping "Overseas Meddling".

Push for changes to state voting rules.

2021-05-16 6:26:07 PM
Wow - two completely diametrically opposed opposites of the same voting coin:

• increase appeal to get more votes
• engineer fewer votes

2021-05-16 6:29:56 PM
Voting suppression has been a very successful strategy for them in the past.

2021-05-16 6:30:03 PM
Depends on each states governor/legislature/sec state party affiliation combo.

Triple red? Whatever they want, voters can hang.

Blue/red/red? Stop the steal, hoax. Voter suppression, other assorted bullshiat.

Basically the more red the more overt.

That 12% controls a majority of state legislatures, so minimize them at the country's peril.

Agreed, but that was 1980, when there were still a bunch of Dixiecrats holdovers.  The last of them transitioned around 2004... maybe one or two in 2008.  Now that that mission stated is 100% accomplished, you would want to kill off black voting rights (that is, if you were a racist asshole).

There's a lot to unpack in this map... haven't found a 2020 version of it yet.

Force people back to work part time for minimum wage and no benefits.

Gas prices lower.

More guns.

FTFY. If cheating was a deal-breaker for any Republican, they'd have left the party a long time ago. Same with bigotry, corruption, lying, bad fiscal policy and outright contempt for the rule of law.

A candidate who tapped into fatigue with the two major parties, while running such a policy-free campaign that they were able to overcome the fact that most independents skew heavily toward one side of the political spectrum, would probably look a fair bit like Trump: populist bluster and stupid, headline-grabbing nonsense to take attention off a complete lack of substance. Which makes it doubly ironic that Trump's shouty anti-establishment idiocy is now the Republican establishment.

Most of the republicans I know are merely clueless dipshiats that don't think critically enough to understand how fascists prey upon their ignorance. Most of them. But boy, it sure is getting harder and harder to tell them apart these days lol.

Agreed.  The whole party needs to implode, pushed off to the fringe, and a party that used to resemble the Republican Party of progressivism and paying your fair share so that middle class could build out the country should emerge.  You know, the way it was when Teddy and Ike were at the helm.

Like I said: clueless dipshiats that don't think critically enough to understand how fascists prey upon their own ignorance. Like, most of the republicans I know are people that thought privatization made sense in the 80s and have been voting Republican ever since. It's gotten to such a point of realism, that they'll actively distort reality around them to ignore the more and more blatant fascism.
