I wonder sometimes how you get to be an pro strength and conditioning coach. There's been so many stories of bad ones that I wonder if going for an AS in kinesiology from the local community college would qualify me....

Look at these guys (NFL NBA or MLB) and compare them to guys from even the 90s. They're all much bigger, stronger, and are asked to play at 100% max effort all the time. No wonder they break down - maybe a little less strength and conditioning would be good.

As a hater of the Geldings who lives in Denver, this is fantastic.  Next, mortgage the future by making a Walker-esque trade for Rodgers. ;)

Heh...true.

But I love the fact that said episode came out when I was a senior in high school....and then Denver won back to back titles during my first two years of college.

I was a few years out of college and living in Boulder when this ep hit and simultaneously thought "that hurts" and "ohhhh...that's brilliant."

Homer's best boss ever being a Bond villain was inspired writing.

Oh yeah....one of the best episodes for sure...Albert Brooks was fantastic.

Side note:

As a Seahawks fan, I hated the Broncos when Seattle was still in the AFC West.  But that grudge is behind me and I am glad they won SB 50....didn't want Cam to get a ring.

In my experience when your team finally breaks through and gets a ring (Broncos v. Packers) there's a weight that's lifted. As if getting into a special club skewed some previously held grievances. For me it was growing up hating the Cowboys (who beat Denver in XII when I was a kid and I got sick of Aikman and co. in the 90s pretty quick) but after Den-GB...I didn't resent them so much as a lot of my 'sports angst' was removed. Weird, really.

I kind of root for Dallas as I feel sorry for them now. The Jerry Jones influence has eroded that franchise.

I will always loathe Dallas.  Yeah...I hope they beat all the other teams in the NFC West....but that's it.
