I honestly thought Tenacious D hit comedy gold w/ this one, but they were literally just ripping off David Lee Roth. That actually made it a little funnier.

No you can't touch it, in fact we shouldn't even be looking at it, we've looked at it enough let's go.

Yeah...that number seems ambitious.

There exists no greater illustration of why Hair Metal had to die quite like that guy.

The sole reason that I looked at the article is to see if it was on it.  As a bonus I found out that Rick Nielson is an owner of a pizza place and brewery in Wicker Park, Chicago.

I saw "George Lynch" in the headline and just wanted to drop by to let you know that the Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon bridge pickup is an awesome mid gain pickup with excellent note separation, great harmonics, capable of pretty pleasing cleans, and keeps clarity under distortion. The "screaming" part might be just marketing.

No experience with those, but heres my thoughts on a couple artist sets of pickups in my guitars.

Mustaine Livewire - out of all the active pickup sets I've ever played through (all the standard metal EMG's we're familiar with), these are the best overall for everything.  under no distortion, they're actually gorgeous sounding.  With distortion, uber clarity.  They're as good for moderate gain punk rock as they are for thrash & with no gain & some reverb added, surf guitar sounds tasty through them.

EMG "Het Set" - They are so overdriven that you really don't want them in a guitar that you don't play distorted; Plugging into an amp that you play other guitars on, using them really means you kind of need to re-dial in your sound.  BUT... put them into your guitar that you only play metal through, & you are absolutely good to go.  They're the first pickups i've used that have a real tangible difference on what the tone knobs do across every couple turns.

Most of those look so unwieldy. How do you even hold a quad guitar without hurting your back?

I heard it live once.   Sounded great.  Phil only played it for about a year, then said it wasn't projecting well into to audience.  (which is a soundman / PA issue).  but yeah.  They only made 10, as the article states, and each went for about 15K brand new.
