Just received a shipment of shrooms pills yesterday. "Cubensis" is spelled incorrectly on the packaging so you know it's quality stuff. Wish me luck!

It's great to finally have a treatment that is way more effective than a placebo.

Huh, who'd have thought that the drugs of choice by the club kids and ravers of the 90's, in large part a very gay community, would also be used to treat years of trauma, depression, and anxiety?  If only there was some correlation...

If anything, there is causation. The raves were ways to live without trauma, depression, and anxiety, and the drugs were necessary (but insufficient) components of what made raves efficacious and therapeutic. They probably work with music, dancing, and socializing. So, causative, not correlative.

Recreational drugs tend to be good medicine, so this should come as no surprise.  I fully expect there to be some "problem" in the next trials where the whole thing needs to be scrapped and kept illegal because one person had a bad trip or they will just exaggerate some risks as an excuse to keep it from being widely available legally.  Our current WH occupant authored the RAVE Act.

If any of you are thinking about taking it yourself, I'd recommend the following for the morning after: 5-HTP powder, and Berocca (or some other drinkable B-complex), both of which can be easily bought a supplement stores and pharmacies. They both noticeably helped balance my system the day after taking it.

Also, I found that going a long nature walk the day after was a joyous experience!

/good luck to everyone's mental health struggles! :)

Lithium in the water supply, micro-dose MDMA in the candy dish.  The world would be a happy place.

I wonder what Muslim clerics think about stuff like this.  Too close to "intoxicants", or look the other way to get your jihadists to CALM THE FARK DOWN?

i think mdma is overrated but if someone is only going to do it once, therapeutically, I can see the benefits.  mdma is barely psychedelic so the user remains lucid enough to relate to a therapist.

however for serious psychological work i think true psychedelics are far more helpful, with dialogue and introspection saved for afterwards.

The point of the MDMA is that the patients developed a conditioned reflex to prevent them from looking at the traumatic memories at all.

Once the drug allows them to face those memories without their brain locking up in a massive fight or flight response, a therapist has a fighting chance to help them overcome them.

However, there are a number of conditions that seem to respond to shrooms as well, like depression.

It's nice that we finally live in an age where the drug war has gone out of vogue and we can do basic science again.

Pure mdma is one of the best experiences you can have, if you're into that kind of shiat. I'm not. Anymore.

And lead makes people violent.

Along with the environmental contamination, is why lead should be banned from civilian ammunition.
