Yeah, subs.  Nothing dumber than a live version of a Tony award winning Broadway stage play.  How would they even do that?

TV people are clearly morons.

Depends on who they cast. The movie had Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters, Tim Curry, and Albert Finney. That lineup would be hart to top.

Sarah Jessica Parker played the title role in the original Broadway productions.   She was the second or third Annie in the late '70s.

When she was on stage, she always seemed to be  a little hoarse.

It's not that it's theater, you snob. It's that it's BAD theater, with annoying songs, a vapid plotline, no redeeming qualities, tons of overpraise, and famous for being famous.  It's like the Kim Kardashian of musicals.

Cool, so maybe our local Broadway series theater can finally put on Kinky Boots?

Original opening date... March 18, 2020.

Well, that's an opinion, I guess.

Seven Tonys and a six year Broadway run are another opinion.

They have tried making every Annie choice some kind of controversy by going from one that is not a redhead to one who is black, what more can they do to get attention for the musical, a little trans orphan Andrew?  I don't mind changes, just don't do it to use as a platform, if it is a black or Korean Annie, let the actress shine on her own merits and show the world, same if it has a trans boy in the role.  Just do not put Pete Davidson in as Annie, some things the world is not ready for.

It's a shame that the government makes you watch this.  Too bad you can't change the channel.

I won't be watching it. My sister used to watch Annie everyday when she was about 4yo. I kept hoping that the vhs would break, but it never did.

I hope Jay Z is involved, he's the best thing that ever happened to that musical. And I don't even like Jay Z, so you can guess my stance on Annie.

Indeed, if that's what makes up your mind for you.  I personally base my opinion as to  whether I like it on whether I like it.  So do many other people.  You should try it.

They can let a deaf person in a wheelchair ASL all the songs silently with no music so the audience call feel what musicals are like for the deaf. As long as they don't try this because, "You never go full..."

Oh I have.  I've seen Annie at the 5th a couple of times, as well as some other smaller venues.  Because it's a great show.    Me and the Tony awards, and the guys that make a living running Broadway productions all agree.

Some internet edgelord may disagree.   But he has an opinion, and that's what matters.
