There is so much awfulness to go around in this story.  The least appalling is Favre took money and didn't give the speeches.  It's awful that the state is paying millionaires to speak and even worse that they pay them from the welfare fund.  Christ, Mississippi, leave some horridness for the rest of us.

What was he going to speak on? The best angle to take a picture of your wang before texting it unsolicited to a reporter?

No way.  If I have to sit through another one of those lectures, I'll pop my own eardrums.

They're never correct either.  The correct angle is from directly under the sack aiming up.  That way there's plausible deniability as you can say it's a close up of a rabid elephant seal eating blueberries if the reporter objects.

Isn't he a Republican now? That means he does not have to repay and in fact you owe him more.

And I doubt he is ever going to

I remember this turning out to be something like the guy that was in charge of the fund that Farve was paid out of basically setup up the deal with the business basically paying the company a million dollars of the state's money so that he and some of his friends could have some golf outings with Farve. It was never known if Farve actually knew where the money came for, or if he ever even went on the golf outings with the guy.

Wasn't there a signed contract? If not, some people should be fired. But, if so, he should be sued for breach of contract. Courts are notoriously unforgiving about people who knowingly welsh on signed commitments.

Guys, writing speeches is hard.  You have to use words like 'the', 'and', 'I', 'us', and 'then'.  Writing skills like that need to be paid.

I was referring to sexual improprieties in general. while there are certainly Democrats guilty of this, it's FAR more common from The Party of Family Values™.

Why aren't we talking about why $1.1 million in TANF (Temporary Aid for Needy Families) that was spent on ANY guest speakers, much less for some retired football player? They are literally taking money that was supposed to feed hungry children and paying a celebrity for something that they probably should have requested as an act of volunteerism.

Well, a whole bunch of people are possibly going to jail over the whole issue:

Several people, including the former head of the state's welfare agency, top officials at the Mississippi Community Education Center and ex-wrestler Brett DiBiase, were indicted in state court and are awaiting trial in the aftermath of the audit. Two of the people indicted on state charges have also been indicted on federal charges and have pleaded not guilty to those.

Note that Favre isn't one of them and hasn't been accused of any wrongdoing or even knowing where the money was coming from.

He should NFT a dick pic to pay them back.
