I'm gonna tell you the problems with Prodigal Son, a show a desperately tried to like on account of Michael Sheen and Lou Diamond Phillips.
1. The lead, Tom Payne. Apparently the premise is let's have a Calvin Klein model with mental/daddy issues catching serial killers beeeeecause..... daddy was a  serial killer? Oh and he has to be part of NYC (Toronto) elite, for reasons.
2. Halston Sage, bringing all the talent of being Seth McFarlane's side-piece to the screen. I didn't thin it was possible to stink up the screen worse than Megan Boone, but here we are.
3. Let's keep Michael Sheen locked-up. Yup, that's what they did.

Glad I wasn't the only person who found it just bad.

Correction: the show was indeed filmed in NYC at various locations. So consider that snark retracted.

Because it's yet another "brilliant detective with issues solves crimes with attractive straight-laced female detective" show?

The only bits of interest were when Michael Sheen was on screen, and watching season 1 at least, he seemed to go missing for episodes at a time. Even when he was on there was just too much silliness (that chain he was tied to seemed to vary massively at any given time depending on the need for 'jump shock'.) I love watching Sheen, but let's be honest, it was all from someone saying, 'Well we can't do Hannibal Lecter...any other actors from his neck of the woods who can do a bit of ham?" And yes, pretty much all the rest of the cast were godawful sub soapstar/ baywatch performances.

No one's going to watch a show with a title they can't pronounce.

IMHO, Michael Sheen's best role was that of Dr. William Masters in "Masters & Johnson". The entire series was fantastic with equally spectacular performances by Allison Janney, Beau Bridges and Lizzy Kaplan.

I really like Michael Sheen but the rest of that show was terrible.

Fox renewed 'Call me Kat'?

Listen, I adore Leslie Jordan with the heat of a thousand suns, but I still couldn't watch that show.
