Look, I wanted the Texans to fail because of Darth Traitorous abandoning Penn State when he basically said a few days before he wasn't leaving, and was committed to the team there.  Now, it seems like the sports deities are punishing them instead of the Asterisks.

All of Houston Sports is catching flak for what the Astros did.  You just have to deal with it.

You read the article AND made a witty comment based on the contents? Get this man some powerful drink STAT, he seems dangerously under-hydrated.

I read the article but don't have a witty comment up my sleeve. Can I at least get a wine cooler?

I tried to read the article but it seems that sports illustrated is now run by buzzfeed and cracked rejects.

Opinions are like ... noses.
Everyone has one and most of 'em smell.

We all know that isn't the right body part for that analogy...

Yeah, they got sold about two years ago.  The new owners fired the entire staff, then offered to re-hire them at severely reduced salaries.

Houston is entering a sudden rebuilding phase. They normally wouldn't be drafting a QB and supporting players, but that is the position that they are in. I wonder how much of that huge contract with Watson will actually be paid under cap?

Bettman is rethinking giving the Houston Areos back, now is focused on Atlanta for its first NHL team.

In the time of Covid, not all noses smell.

Was that written by an 8th grader? Wow.

I'm a terrible writer but even I can recognize that that blog sucks!

*take with a grain of salt*

It still seems like Watson is unlikely to get much of his contract money, if the things that continue to unfold about his desire to be rubbed by a cheap stranger turn out to be true. And if we are being objective about it, there seem to be more partial truths so far than there are complete lies.

Watson and his defense team have already admitted that he has had consensual sexual encounters with the massage therapists. Which, technically speaking, is prostitution (not sure about the laws up in GA, but in Houston, it is. And as we have seen played out with other powerful and or rich people, being told "no" is not only something they aren't used to, it's something that is unacceptable.
Actual facts would be nice, but since all we really have to go on is what is put in to the public sphere, its a mixed bag still, at best.

As a fan of Houston sports, this is probably one of the worst years to be a sports fan.
1993 still cuts deepest, for me at least.

Which is worse, the years after a cheating scandal breaks when you still have an intact team or having to rebuild when you lose a franchise QB? Pretty much the whole team was involved in the cheating (but most of them are elsewhere now) vs the QB issue was only his own bad acts.

Are they at odds? The article isn't denying that an executive said it- the article cites the other article quoting the executive, then proceeds to disagree with the executive. Subby's headline might lead one to believe the article has a different tone, but it's not inaccurate.

Truthfully, I don't think it was just his bad acts alone. Without evidence, I suspect that there have been a great many blind eye turned until it was no longer beneficial to turn the blind eye.

Not that it makes it any better or worse, but perhaps even BO'B was the one doing it, and lead to his actual downfall more than just general mismanagement, which the Texans never really seemed to have had a problem with before.

Players have been moved on from for considerably less (looking at you DJ Swearenger).

1) Sportswriter takes a guess at the best players and publishes a mock draft.
2) Draft happens making the sportswriter look like an idiot.
3) Sportswriter publishes grades for all the teams. The teams that picked players who were high in his mock draft get As, the teams that passed on those players get a lower grade.
4) Profit apparently
