/awaits the hydro homie check ins

They forgot: sudden onset death.

If you start feeling any of these symptoms, and on a regular basis, you're chronically dehydrated. FFS people drink regular water. A good baseline is 1/2 your body weight (lbs) in ounces.
So here's the math:  if you weigh 170 lbs you should be drinking at least 85oz of plain clear normal regular water every day. That's really not a lot and not hard to do. Increase by at least 15% if you work out regularly.

/hydro homie? I guess so.

That's about 7 beers. So I guess if you're a six pack a night guy you need to step it up.

That was an evil dirty website.

Oooh then I'm more than good. How the hell do people gave a problem hydrating?

If you're wondering whether you might be dehydrated, drink some farking water. As long as you're not chugging gallons of it without eating anything, it's not going to hurt you to have some more even if you're not sure you need it.

I am honestly surprised that an article like this didn't have more advertising.

oddly-enough, "water intoxication" is A Thing. sadly-enough, it doesn't really mean what the epithet seems to imply. it only means that your kidneys get super pissed off being overworked, and you seriously farked up your sodium levels vs. necessary ion-transport.

Yeah but only time I ever had to worry about water poisoning was marathon training or hiking across the US. Too much water too quickly is not good.

It's and endurance athlete problem. Generally not a general pop problem

yeah, back in university long-distance cycling team, us poor kids would make "gatorade" simply by: water, salt, sugar, ... and kool-aid if'n you could afford it. kind of disgusting without the kool-aid, but that sodium-transport is what you really need.

the poisoning thing though... yeah. there are still days where I survive purely on tap-water and/or seltzer. but at least soda-water has some marginal K/Na/P in there.
