I'll go with
1) bullied at school
2) no support/help for her
3) easy enough to pick one of daddies many guns out of the closet and make solve the problem her way

America can not solve the problem limiting guns they are far to inherent in the system now. investing in step 2 can help the US reduce step 3. I don't think it can go away, not when guns are the perceived solution to many problems.

Well for starters we could make it a crime to not properly secure your guns, allowing them to fall into the wrong hands. There have been a recent spike in weapons being stolen here where I live, many of them were taken from vehicles that were unlocked. Storing a weapon in a vehicle is irresponsible to begin with, it's even worse when it was left unlocked.

Most of these school shootings seem to involve kids having easy access to an adult's guns. While this doesn't solve the other issues you raised, holding gun owners responsible when these things happen is at least a small step in the right direction.

I would think a car would be a better weapon if you are going for a crowd.
It's the weapon of choice for old people, when taking down a farmers market.

One of the groups targeted by the republicans and NRA with gun gag laws were pediatricians who brought up gun safety/storage with parents. The penalty for hurting the fee fees of gun owners by pointing out the dangers of guns around children included fines from the state and loss of medical license.

But remember, it's conservatives whose freedom of speech is under assault by FB and Twitter.

I wonder what the link is between all these shootings.

Is there any common factor between everything?

We should compile a list of all the ingredients needed for a shooting to occur and see if there are any common factors, something present across all of these events.

It's a mystery.

There should be more van attacks, then, yeah?

Couple of them a month, at least. Nationwide.
