After the complete shiatshow that Bioware ended the trilogy with, effectively a plot-hole ridden and narratively disconnected straight-up copypasta of the ending to the original DeusEx (same 3 doors, same 3 concepts, same 3 colors except they switched red and blue) and the debacle of Andromeda, I really cant bring myself to be interested in anything Mass Effect anymore.

That series GoTd itself at the 3rd installment hard.

They farked up by making the second one too good....

I started with Mass Effect 2, loved it, then a coiple years later went back to ME1 and couldn't finish it as the general gameplay was way too clunky. And, ya, I was fine with the end of ME3. If they update the graphics and the gameplay to current non-Andromeda/non-Halo levels, i'd be happy to get a copy. On sale. Eventually.

I'm not sure I care. PC, so I can fix most of those things with mods already. They'd have to bring something more to the table. We'll see, i guess.

I wonder will it be on gamepass

Here's the actual link to the creator, since they don't include it in the article:

Also, ME:3 had exactly the right ending, for a novel. Not for a video game, though. Everything Shepherd sis mattered in the moment, but not in the grand scheme of things, which is exactly right (and extremely realistic), but isn't satisfying as an interactive narrative without the Citadel addition.

/Still better than the last Deus Ex and Outer Worlds
//Or, God forbid, Far Cry 5's or FFXV railroad of doom

As I never got around to playing ME3 after the Citadel DLC (and still have fond memories of 5/6th of the series) I am going to be playing the hell out of this

If Garrus hasn't finished his calibrations by now, we're just going to have to go with what we've got

Nah, ME3 was great. They just farked-up the landing. Just turn the game off after you open the Citadel and the platform lifts you up and substitute 'they all lived happily ever after'.

The third had a lot of great moments before the last ten minutes, and the co-op multiplayer was a good time. I still haven't opened up my copy of Andromeda I got from a clearance sale, but I look forward to replaying the trilogy once more.

...after killing the elusive man, grab his arm, take over his Omni-tool, have EDI back-trace the Reaper control signal he was using to communicate with them, and send out a signal to disable them so they can be destroyed.

...that was my fake/better ending.

I played ME1, loved it, and then just kind of... forgot about video games for a while?  (it was a busy time in my life!)

I am actually really excited about this remaster - the changes to ME1 sound generally great and everything after that is new to me.

There are mods that let you survive the ending (you only get to choose Destroy, but that whole "and the Geth you just saved will all die" part is cut out) and play The Citadel afterwards. The mods are a little janky, but they serve the purpose. Much more satisfying.

And I liked Andromeda. Great? No, pretty flawed. But the good parts well outweighed the bad. I played it well after the thing had been fixed up with patches, so for the main issue was that they made it overly big. All those long stretches of cruising around planets with these dumb fetch quests piling up. it's lot better game if you ignore that crap. Dragon Age: Inquisition had the same problem. Both needed 10-20% less grind content.

yeah endings can ruin a perfectly good up to that point thing for me.
It has t do with if the ending feels like hack lazy ass chit that says the writers didn't really care/didn't really have a story they felt compelled to tell. And so shows that up to this point  they were just getting lucky with me not actually being skilled at story telling.

Like the end of the first season of stranger thigns, i lost any interest in any more.
If the writers can spend a whole season building up a problem and describing it fairly good detail, but then just solve that problem off screen. they can go fook themselves.

People care about the cover of the game?

I'm looking forward to it. I started MEII on OnLive and when it went away tried getting into ME but never could.  I haven't played any of the games all the way through and as I understand they're replacing the clunky mechanics from ME with the improved MEII version.

I have so many games to play, I'll probably wait until it's on sale. Though, $60 for 3 AAA games isn't a bad deal.

Three really OLD AAA games. Those usually go for $10 each.

I'll wait a while on this. They didn't put $60 worth of effort into the remaster. Bioware probably only put 10% of the money that they put into Anthem, Andromeda, or Inquisition to make this.

Plus, most of the target market already OWNS the games.

This.  ME:A was a pretty decent game, once the patches are included. Modding really makes it a good (not great) game.  It's biggest problem, in the end, is its name.  Once you say "Mass Effect" there's a huge set of expectations that are just really hard to meet.

In the DA universe, DA:O was the only one I really liked.  Then it stopped being an RPG and started being ... whatever DA:I was. The grinding finished the kill and I've given up every time I've tried playing it.  I'll reply DA:O over and over, though.  Great game.
