Surely I can't be the only one who sees the name "The Honest Company" and immediately assumes that they are probably a dishonest company?

My mind immediately went to goop.
Most of it is already muck.

I remember years ago, Jessica Alba was a guest host on Rupaul's Drag Race. The winner for the challenge that week got a bunch of cleaning supplies from the Honest Company. The episode was heavily mocked, because usually a challenge win involved winning something that befitted their drag.

A company calling itself "honest" conceptualized and fronted by someone whose whole career before consisted of presenting herself as other people.
If that doesn't reek of scam I don't know what does.

I see "The Honest Company," read that Jessica Alba is involved, and my brain interprets it as "The Horny Company."

It does seem like it would be a close cousin of the overly specific denial.

Achingly callipygian.

Sweet.  She hasn't done anything to earn that money, and I'm sure her payout will be many thousands of times what the average line working making her products makes, so I'm looking forward to her voluntarily divesting herself of any obscene profits to address the social injustice of it all.  After voluntarily paying he maximum tax rate, of course.

I remember the first episode of Dark Angel. It was back when software companies set people up across the country n hotel rooms for training. I skipped going to the local bar to watch the episode. I enjoyed it very much.

Then later in the show it got weird with dog people and shiat. Hot girl, beating people up in black latex. They should have just stuck with that.

I remember it started going off the rails by the end of the first season. Season two began, FOX shoved it into the Friday death slot but it was already a completely different show. Even Alba's character seem to be lost in the story.
I don't think Cameron had any involvement at that point (they even stopped using his name iirc).

Note to Self: Don't wear black latex around Jessica Alba.

I get that you are joking, but just since you got two Smart votes I feel it needs to be said: storytelling isn't dishonesty or misrepresenting oneself.

I've tried a few of their products and wasn't impressed. Mostly recalling the diaper rash cream that did diddly for its intended purpose. They're overpriced "feel good" items, mostly targeted for moms with too much disposable income. I am not in that demographic.

We used some of the stuff, it's not bad. My son used to love their bubble bath.

Agreed on the bubble bath... nice scent without being too overpowering, great staying power on the bubbles. Most products were good for kids prone to rash or allergies.

Good for her.
