I cant believe how many people voted for four more years of covid.

The article headline touts political chaos and poverty.  The GOP doesn't need Trump for that.

Not to be a studman, but looking at those hands, and having been to Brasil, that girl might have an outtie in front(and yes I mean penis).

Hey, if developed countries in South America start losing lots of people that could open up jobs that Central/South Americans might want to fill instead of migrating to the US as their only hope of prosperity. Even a cloud as dark as COVID can have a silver lining, I guess.

I don't ever wonder about trump winning a second term. I pondered that terrifying potential prior to the election.

Geese are assholes but they don't deserve to go to Brazil either. Be fair.

Bolsonaro was hoping it would kill off undesirables.  He's a fascist.  And like all fascists, his failures impacted the upper-middle class who always think that they will be safe from the cruelty and incompetence of fascists.  His popularity has fallen because he killed the wrong people.

I mean what would have happened to the US vaccine roll out if we had a Republican president and Congress managing it?
I'm thinking we'd be looking at Brazil with envy.

That graph is terrible.

Don't worry, with vaccinations slowing down in the US and more infectious variants worldwide COVID19 will probably mutate to a new resistant and more deadly virus and there will be plenty of gravedigging jobs to go around.

How do you say "leopards" in Portugese?

Remember when you look at Brazil and India that this is what conservatives wanted for us.

The Black Death was great for labor overall. Individual laborers, not so much.

I haven't used PowerPoint in 15 years... but I'm 99% certain I could have made a better graph that that.

X is time
Y is 7 day average # of deaths attributed to COVID.

Trump might've given the instructions on making the vaccine to Bolsonaro, Putin, Xi, Modi.

But he wouldn't give them to Merkel, Ardern, Zelensky, Trudeau...

I'm unsure if there's a better or worse right now because those Pharma Dems have enveloped America in a shroud of shame that stinks far worse than Trump.

Trump's pathology makes him evil.
The Pharma Dems aren't mentally ill, they're willfully greedy and deliberately cruel.

So why is Brazil above the US when the US value is wider in January?   How much does, um, 10 pixels equate to in deaths?

You could hand the complete textbook describing every step of making the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to anyone you want and it wouldn't make a lick of difference at present.

Moderna and Pfizer own every one of the tiny number of incredibly sophisticated bespoke-manufactured machines in the world that can actually accomplish the turbulent microflow mixing that actually covers the mRNA in the encapsulating agent and make nanoparticles that actually deliver it to cells.

Everything else - the bacteria that make the DNA, the enzymes that translate it into mRNA, the industrial mix that forms the encapsulating agent, the adjuvant, the bottling process - can be done on an industrial scale with (relative) ease by "anybody."

If conservatives ever do anything that benefits a majority of people it would be accidental they'd swear not to let it happen again.

Conservatives are humanity's enemy.  Destroy them all.

No wonder the GQP is so extra buttmad and trying to run sham "audits" in state after state. They were deprived of all those millions of innocent American souls that would have perished from the Trump Virus this year.

makes me sad I have a friend in Brazil who was forced to go home last year at the start of this crap, and now she wanted to spend the summer here but cant come back to the US either.

I imagine by now instead of a surplus of vaccines we would have a a mysterious shortage, while millions of doses would be bought up by the UAE and Jared Kushner would double his net worth.

It will never stop being weird to me that a whole political party took the side of the virus during a pandemic.

Nah, the Trump administration would have just permanently farked with people's confidence in the vaccine to the point where at best we'd only consider taking ones not made in the US.

/then we'd probably import a bunch of Russian vaccines to make up the shortfall or something

I'm not surprised.  The GQP stands for human turnover in the non-rich populations so they can have fresh, ignorant bodies doing manufacturing jobs.

They need high human turn over to perpetuate their lifestyles.

Every single one of their policies promotes accelerated early births and an accelerated early death.

Just chiming in to agree that that graph/chart is ... unhelpful.
