We're America.  I say we give it to the world for free.  US govt can pay the drug makers for the costs of manufacturing and maybe a little profit.  If receiving nations want to pay some too that's fine.

Once the world is mostly inoculated then the companies can go back to normal business.

A lot of people will need to update their vax  refusal excuse.

I just can't wait until (potentially) next week when my 13 year old can be vaccinated.   He's non-verbal autistic and has been essentially home bound because he doesn't understand distancing and won't wear a mask and puts his fingers in his mouth near constantly.

Just being able to go into a store and pick out a snack on a road trip to see his grand parents is going to be HUGE for him.

Well this should be funny then for the people saying "You can't demand I be vaccinated to go to school/work/travel as it's a EUA vaccine only." So now they can say "I got Moderna or J&J so you still can't make me". The FDA either needs to make them all legal or none legal or else you're gonna have big problems enforcing rules.

Is this some Canadian joke I'm too American to understand?

Once it's formally approved, the DOD would be able to mandate it.

There's just going to have to be a fair amount of, "Covid did weird shiat - there are exceptions to the way we normally treat things that are gonna have to happen, just like there are exceptions codified for more common natural disasters" legal decisions.  That's already not particularly optional, and it'll happen again with stuff like that..

No, that's not how that works.  FDA has a very very strict process for these things.

Also, I don't understand your point.  In your example, you specifically are saying they got something that isn't fully approved as rational for not getting vaccinated?  How can you be vaccinated and NOT vaccinated at the same time?

Canadian Tire seems to kind of the equivalent of what Sears used to be and they'd give you store currency back with each purchase. At some point the Canadian Tire cash became so ubitquitous that it was a joke shadow currency in Canada.
