My apologizes to all then.

I could've sworn that a bunch of disco records were blown up somewhere, sometime.

"The victim states Rodney Thomas approached him about a disco ball that he had purchased from Thomas for $20, but he was wanting it back. The victim refused, and Thomas pushed him back in the apartment," Jonesboro police said.

That might be the fastest way to enforce a return policy.

I liked it when kids in the 60's burned their Beatle records and stuff.

Makes me laugh because I am sure some kids bought them just to burn them.

Rereading TekWar: That's racist.  And homophobic.

I was in 9th grade at the time, A rocker, a punk, new waver, Disco music was not one of my likes. Had nothing to do with being a racist. A lot of those artists on "Saturday Night Fever" were white by the way. Bee-Gee's etc.

I'm 56 now and I appreciate Disco music now. Some of the arrangements and guitar work along with some of those bass lines are fantastic.

But back then? I didn't care for it.  It was about music, not race.

That's what a lot of people said about the Dukes of Hazzard and the battleflag.  It's one thing for a kid to like or dislike genres of music.  It's another thing to hold a massive Nuremberg Rally and book burning.

LOL  you sound a bit like every Republican racist, denying their racism.  You're not, of course, but the similarity is there.

I heartily dislike lots of genres, and artists ;  Trance, Jazz, The Eagles, The B52s....   I don't feel the need to wear a "Trance sucks" T-shirt, or hold a good old record burning.

I never cared for Dukes or confederate flags, and I most certainly never wore any t-shirts with hate messages or attended record or book burning events. I can't change your perception of me and so you can go right on and assume everyone that disagrees with you is a republican. I sorta feel sorry for you that you're so closed minded.

Have a nice day. It was nice meeting you.

I liked the disco that was fused with funk. You are right about the bass lines, that's what made this really fun.
