Given the 117 anti-trans bills proposed by Republicans in 30 states (count as of last week), she's reaching "Jews for Hitler" levels of cognitive dissonance.

Running as a member of a party that's trying to legislate people like you out of existence. Money and fame are a hell of a drug, I guess.
FYIGM. It's the Republican way.

I will laugh my ass off if she's the one that derails the GOP's efforts to recall Newsom.

I don't think she has the same charisma Schwarzenegger did (still does).

Q: Hasn't California suffered enough?

A: NO. not until we learn to make choices that prevent suffering, until then we deserve to suffer. Remember, chemo and radiation treatment are a pretty shiat expericne to have to suffer through. but it is a suffering that is necessary for your health.

I never watched any of the Kardashian shows, but I did watch hers right after she came out...right until she displayed complete unwillingness to recognize that her experiences as a trans person are in no way comparable to a typical trans person's. I don't remember the full scene, but someone was telling her how she was kicked out of her home as a teenager, abused on the street, fired, evicted, etc, all because she was trans, and thanked the public assistance that was available to her in CA to get herself together as an adult. Caitlin's response was "well, so long as you don't become dependent on welfare". What an asshole.

Californians vote based on which party a person is registered in, and then their identity. If Caitlyn ran as Democrat "any blue will do" then Newsom would have a huge problem. Few people vote for Republicans as evidenced by Republicans not holding a single state-wide seat, and the state legislature having an 85% Democratic majority. Many of those Democrats used to be Republicans, and some still endorse Republicans and their platform. Californians simply don't look past the party label very deeply.

People apparently supported Mike Bloomberg. And he bought a Senate seat for Pat f*cking Toomey.

Item #2 of my evidence that Caitlyn would win simply if she registered as Democrat. People vote for labels. Most know nothing about Caitlyn beyond the label, and would forgive anything if she switched parties (if they even knew she had switched parties).

And let's say she did win, Dems not voting for a person who is transgender but opposes gay rights would not make the Dems look anti-trans... his entire post is dumb from start to finish.

Schwarzenegger had a genuine interest in doing well by the state, despite coming up short in that regard.  There aren't many Republicans who could say the same without getting struck by lightning.

No primary in the recall. You might want to look into it. And in regular elections, it's a jungle primary, which has been ending up with Democrats vs Democrats in the general, showing you don't know what you're even talking about.
