This is like that time I gave Ollie North the Hero tag, right?

2021-04-23 10:23:38 AM
This does not make him a Hero.  This just means that a select detachment of the RCMP infiltrated his office and gave him a maple syrup booster.  They're the real heroes here.

shiatstain caves to reason.

He's still a shiatstain.

Why on the God's green Earth did subby use the Hero tag on an article featuring Ted Cruz? Seriously? I hope that's an ironic use otherwise I question subby's sanity.

What's the hero tag for?

Ted Cruz has probably pulled his eyes into a faux epicanthal fold and said something like 'ching-chong ding-dong' within the past week. There is nothing to indicate a republican ever loses their racist beliefs over the course of a lifetime, let alone within a week. fark this guy and anyone who would vote for him.

That's disturbingly realistic -- you just need to change the jacket color to brown.

Bravo, Ted Cruz for bucking the Republican pro-hate crime party line. So courage. Such brave.

Choke on that chicken, Mr Cruz. You know you are good at it.

We can be heros
Just for one day.

Despite several failed Republican attempts to amend the bill, Hirono and Collins reached an agreement to modify the bill's language "to broaden bipartisan support while retaining the purpose of the bill," according to Hirono's office.

I don't really get it, why give them anything? Why do you need to broaden support for a bill that was going to pass? Why would you offer the racist party any cover at all?

So does anyone have a link to anything that explains what actual, practical, tangible effect this is supposed to have?

Everything I've read seems to just allude to random minor administrative stuff.

2021-04-23 12:22:00 PM
It means a stopped pile of festering shiat can be right once in a while.

I admit, this analogy needs work.

/Honestly, betting that he did this to hurt Hawley in the next presidential primary

fstr21: What's the hero tag for?

A Republican, when not being a complete evil asshole and doing something apparently good for once, even if it is for some selfish reasons, seems to be considered a "hero" nowadays.

I now question reality....

Wish I could get a hero tag for doing the absolute bare minimum.

Freaking right-wingers, they want to reserve the right to call COVID a hoax, but also reserve the right to attack Asians because they think Asians introduced the virus.

This.

Fark Cruz and his weaseling backtracking after getting called out for being an asshole.

He was and is still an asshole.

Cruz can go back to representing the better Texans -- the few in state who donate - whose family values are in the nine figure millions.

2021-04-23 12:30:52 PM
He did not vote for it for any virtuous reasons.

Congratulations on just barely not being 100% shiatty 100% of the time.

Acknowledging objective reality and coming out on the side of not aiming to harm millions by obstructing policy or implementing directly harmful policy.

/The bar is now so low that you have to spend years digging to get under it.

I don't know Ted Cruz (thankfully),I am no friend of Ted Cruz, but you, Ted Cruz, are no hero.
Apologies to Lloyd Benson, but he'd probably approve.

I almost hope Trump runs in 2024 just to see Josh Hawley stamp his feet and cry "but I did all the white supremacy....for nothing???"

Someone must have explained to Rafael Edwardo that the demographics of Texas, especially around Houston and Dallas has shifted a good bit.

Guaranteed his orders will still come with an extra helping of chunky lougie.

Seems more meriting of a 'Murica tag than using Hero.

2021-04-23 1:42:58 PM
Do not ever use the term "Hero" in relation to Ted Cruz.  He is a sniveling, self-serving, spineless coward and will never be anything more.

Only possible time we could use the hero tag with Ted Cruz is when discussing his order from Subway.

The Hero tag is now sitting in a running shower, naked, rocking and crying softly to itself.

Thanks, subby.

I read that as "sweet and sour children", and thought "these guys have no limits, do they?"

Sorelian's Ghost: Ummm that doesn't make him a hero.  It doesn't even make him less of an asshole.

This.

This wasn't the result of any change of heart. This was, like every single thing that Zodiac ever does, is a cynical calculation that he sees as taking him one step closer to his birthright which was given to to him by God Almighty: "I am supposed to be the President of the United States".

He read the numbers and the polls. He was reminded on how close Beto came to beating him in 2018, and what alienating the Asian-American community in Texas could cost him.

That's all this is. He deserves no points.

Where are the sandwiches?  I was under the impression that there'd be free sandwiches.  Why else would anyone use the Hero tag on an article about a shiatstain like Ted Cruz?

2021-04-23 4:57:45 PM
This pinched faced farkstick lives near Houston, and since he's such an asshole, he never took a second to pay attention to one specific people of color. Vietnamese people, and Asians from that region kind of settled in Houston after 1975 when the US lost the war over there... yeah, I said lost. America used to be a melting pot, not too long ago.

We should have never let Ted be a US citizen though.

2021-04-23 5:00:55 PM
He probably had a few too many Margaritas at lunch and checked the wrong box.
