What is trojan?
Trojans are programs that claim to perform one function but actually do another, typically malicious. Trojans can take the form of attachments, downloads, and fake videos/programs and, once active on a system, may do a number of things, including stealing sensitive data or taking control of the device.

If they didn't redirect everything to Yiffing Carnival money laundering sites, it was a wasted opportunity.

So at a time when google AR was having an outage, someone made a claim on twitter that they had bought the expired domain name, even though the renewal is actually in July. Way to highlight the bullshiat and shrug at the facts, TFA.

"According to the Open Data Córdoba group (which is dedicated to tracking expired Argentine domains) Google's domain had not expired and, in fact, the expiration date was in July. But the group too was unable to explain what had happened or why."

Translation : DNS exploit.

No big deal. WIPO, the organization responsible for decisions on domain ownership, will just give it back to google due to it's trade name.

Some examples!

Which is why, if you luck into something like this you need to use your 15 minutes of fame to the best of your abilities.  Put your bands video up, your stand up routine, your complaint about the government... something good that can get you some publicity for something you need publicity for.  Do it tongue in cheek and give the domain back when they ask for it.

3 hours of all traffic going to google going to your bands video?  If it's a good video now you are famous.
