They're bespoke, though. Bespoke! That makes them easily worth twice the asking price. You'd be a fool to pass them up.

I'm just waiting for the resolution of 3D printers to improve a bit more so I can download my favorite music and print it to cylinder.

Pfft, you're still listening to music? Like, with your ears?

Olfactory harmonics are literally the only way I can enjoy music anymore.

A Discord buddy recommended Perfecting Sound Forever: An Aural History of Recorded Music by Greg Milner. Looks interesting, I should buy a copy.  And a boat.

I'm sure the music is that good that it merits the effort required to put it on that media.

I was going to make a joke about how I've been looking for new releases to play on my cylinder player.

Then I read the article. I guess the joke's on me.

You should imagine calibrating your head (using cotton balls, bamboo sheeting, egg-carton-style foam panels, and other materials) to obtain the best frequency response.

Less than $500 shipped - which is far less than I thought a player would cost:

Nice find! Years ago I was looking for an old Victrola but the prices were insane (but, on the other hand, they were all refurbished and worked well). I hope yours works. Nice find, in any case, even if it needs some work!

That seems kind of fun. But Fark is filled with old Beatles and kiss fans who haven't listened to new music since1985, so... we get this thread.

I put music on and broadcast it through a single tube transmitter that I built myself to listen to on an old 6 tube Majestic. Does it sound better? Not really. But it's fun.

You people are just afraid of other people enjoying themselves. Paradoxically, it's probably the same disease that causes farkers to repeat the same jokes, over and over again.

Morning t really a joke

During broadcasting school I bought a smaller portable one.
It won't fit the big reels, but I recorded tons of classical music into 6 inches reels.
Still listen to them today
