(Some Guy)   Two African-American entrepreneurs launch their own organic tequila brand called...hmm, not sure if I should type that. Going to be sort of awkward asking the store in an American accent if they have any. Anyways, maybe just look really hard and find it yourself   (blackenterprise.com) divider line

Was 'Los Apropriadores de Cultura' taken?

Yo, dawg, I heard you liked outdated English race terms borrowed from Romance languages, so I got nothing.

Thaddeus claims his career exposed him to high-end luxury. "In a sense, I wanted Los Négros to taste and feel like stepping out of a Black car onto a private jet wearing a Black tie or little Black dress with a Black card at your disposal...pure luxury," thus Los Negros.

Uh-huh

The tilde means a lot when translating Spanish to English.

Example:
Tengo 18 años = I am 18 years old.
Tengo 18 anos = I have 18 anuses.

Actually, the polite form in most Spanish speaking nations is "moreno"

Negro generally is not rude or racist though but more often than not is it used as a term of endearment or a nickname, even for while latinos.  A guy can call a friend Negro and it means buddy.  A spouse can use it to mean dear.

Should have called it Los Morenos.

I was asked by a white Canadian who was living in Colombia to help her compose a letter to the Colombian Chamber of commerce saying two companies were doing racist marketing.  When no person in Colombia thought they were racist.

What exactly does that taste like?  If you asked me what "stepping out of a black car" tasted like, I'd say it probably tastes like asphalt as you faceplant into the road.

Everything except the PB & J - PB I'm allergic to but something savory with almond butter could work.

For that matter Negra Modello or Dos Equis Ambar are my go-to brewed beverages.

What's the deal with them both wearing suits with breast pockets on the right side?
Who makes suits that way?
I've not seen that before.

If the picture was flipped, the labels behind them would be flipped.
Each flaunting their watches on different sides can be legit if one was left handed though, but still looks pretty forced.

So wanna crack a whitey joke. Like if I'm drinking this what culture would I be appropriating from?

Being said, I've had really good tequila from Mexico brought up to the US. And while not a tequila person, oh God. Really good tequila is... fantastic. I gotta laugh at everyone who tells me "patron is excellent" no patron silver is swill compared to a great anejo.

Same people I ask "ever try Mezcal?"

"Ooh I never heard of the brand!"

Annnnd then I just don't even try to explain.

I can't. I've never had a good silver compared to some of the anejo I've had. I just can't figure out why people piss away money on patron and claim it's the best when gods it's not even good tequila.

Oooh I love Scotch. Most of my regular bartenders know or learn do not give me the Scotch. Good scotch is smooth with a little Bite and the smell of peaty goodness, sip it, and it warms everything but always (I'm assuming under a hundred a bottle) a little bite to it. Hood tequila is smooth. Almost grapefruit/ citrus very little bite to it. Where peat and smokiness assaults the senses, and you celebrate in it, a good tequila is just smooth kinda citrusy and dangerous.

Any tequila is good tequila if you consume enough of it.

Tequila is stupid expensive. Even for the swill. I've never had a mezcal that wasn't better than tequila by far.

I think they're only like $10 more right? The distillers laga was a present for hooking my guy up with a job. I wouldn't spend that on my own.

Still, not much of a highland or Speyside fan. Too sweet for me.

Just pronounce it in a Mexican accent.  It will sound to English speakers something like "lo nayhedel"

Also whoever designed the mouse wheel scrolling behavior for that site needs to be smacked upside the head.
