But apparently not the individual voters who want a higher minimum wage.

Or your own state laws, which has a higher minimum wage than you're comfortable voting for nationwide.

2021-04-21 6:23:23 PM
Yes. Our Capitalist system has captured the Federal Government and isn't about to let We The People have any control or say.

This is why we won't have $15 minimum wage or medicare for all or real substantive change to the lives of Americans.
I mean I could simply say "Citizen's United" but it goes way way way deeper than that and has been happening for far longer- this is why it is important to understand the history of labor battles in this country.

I'm finding it hard to like her anymore but she's not my Senator.  How are folks in AZ responding to her?    Is she polling well?

This is the first thing the Googles bring up.  Not sure as to the bias of the pollsters.

The poll shows that Sinema is more popular among voters over 65 years old, with 50% favorability and 43% unfavorable. Younger voters between 18-34 years old favor her at 25%, while 35% view her unfavorably

Huh........this was the most telling to me, though, in your article, "Kelly has a rating of 79% favorable and 11% unfavorable among democrats."
Now I'm wondering if her Mavericky approach will backfire.

Oh I doubt it. As she says, she listens to the AZ business community and the libertarian right in Arizona think everything should be privatized if possible.

Give corporate control to the workers. Democracy in the workplace as well as outside of it.

She's a bag of shiat. Replace her with an actual Democrat.

Did she do a weird heel turn or am I mistaken that she was reasonable/sane when first campaigning? Probably have her mistaken with another blonde, but insanity seems contagious these days.

In 2014, Congress had a 14% approval rating, but still, 96% of incumbents were reelected.

Remember that the next time you hear somebody saying "Vote blue, no matter who" or whining about "purity testing".

Well we got a demo of how much it does work like that after the insurrection when so many corporations condemned it.

Don't care for her, but it's a speech to the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.  That's what a politician is going to say, unless they're throwing away the support of the business community.

I'd call it grasping for straws, but there aren't any straws in the building.

I was looking through her donor list and found this gem.

She's anti net neutrality and funded in part by Comcast. https://readsludge.com/2019/11/07/krysten-sinema-the-only-anti-net-neutrality-dem-linked-to-super-pac-run-by-a-comcast-lobbyist/

What a piece of human trash.

But seriously everyone. She likes GIRLS TOO! So we just have to deal with the fact that she's a shiatty person because a perfectly stable person over 30 would dress that way.

2021-04-21 9:22:50 PM
Sinema is everything I feared Biden would be.

I have a theory that Bernie set up a ritual to exorcise most of the shiatlib out of Biden, and that shiatlib became Sinema.

Arizona still limits voting to land-owning white men, right?  That kind of mentality would make sense in this case.

/then again in that time, your senators were voted for by your state legislature...

So what, subby, you want to primary her and see how that goes?

All I need is for Sinema to say ICE needs more women enforcers and then I've got a BINGO!
