You know, we don't have the facts but I do find myself wondering if someone who paid millions of dollars in a blackmail scheme over money laundering might have been involved in some money laundering.

It makes it harder when the real Chinese government is in the business of shakedowns too.

Greed strikes again. If they had just taken a mil or two, and if she's wealthy enough to absorb the loss, she may not even have reported it out of embarrassment.

No, that's $32 million USD. FTFA: "around HK$247 million ($32 million) in a scam."

And I can't help but think that she's probably dirty as hell because nobody pays out that much if they're innocent.

A wealthy, 90 farking year old HKer who believes that her identity has been used to effectively frame her for some prison-time shiat on the mainland? I can imagine that person paying quite a bit if she thought that would make it go away.

Knowing you're innocent is one thing. Having confidence that you can prove your innocence to the PRC's satisfaction before your confused ancient ass dies in custody, even though an "official" is standing at your door telling you that you can't, is another.

/Coming back 10 farking times is just greedy. Be a farking professional!

she lives on the peak as per article so 32$ million should be the equivalent of a pot of loose change so she can play mahjong with the other ladies.
