There's a lot of lying to courts that goes on. It doesn't seem like they actually go after anyone very often.

Myrick, meanwhile, was arrested on a charge of unlawful disclosure of statewide grand jury proceedings

Immediately above in the article is a description of what the grand jury was investigating.

Hmmm. The things that he was accused of lying about kind of sound like they could be matters of opinion. Political?

Which description was taken from the indictment the grand jury issued. It's almost like there's very special ways we can learn what a grand jury was investigating.

It's my understanding that a Grand Jury witness is not bound by the secrecy requirement, but any lawyer involved is.

Or it's something simpler just diversion of funds etc. for gain or to drive an agenda and getting caught lying about it.  Wouldn't be the first time.  We'll have to see what develops.

And yet not one single liar who lied about the "stolen election" in court has been arrested.  Not one.

Several head scratchers here. First is why they would focus on this one school district when in such a budget starved environment for all schools in Florida it's entirely likely others were shuffling money around just to keep the lights on. Second is why his attorney let him say untrue thing to the grand jury. That's a huge and avoidable fark up. And usually to successfully prosecute perjury you need to have given him an opportunity to amend the statement or warn him specifically about the statement and perjury implications.

I've met this guy professionally. He seemed very genuine and dedicated. I don't know him personally, but this seems off.

Broward County is worse and has been for quite some time.  It's one of the most corrupt places in the country.  Statewide administrators for any program will almost universally complain about Broward County as the worst of the worst.
