Uber Eats takes a commission of up to 30% on each order, depending on the services that it provides.

30% commission and you lose money.  such as a business

Some sort of regulation needs to be adopted to force there companies to behavior better otherwise there will be nothing to make these parasites just go away or be good corporate citizens. What do I mean? Everyone loses but the company management.

- Restaurants lose out on margin because they have to pay part of the commission.
- All restaurant patrons end up subsidizing the revenue of these middlemen having to pay higher prices on food as restaurants try to cover some of the fees. In the end, even those the user of these apps that think they're supporting  their favorite local restaurant are contributing to their struggle. And they wonder why they see the restaurant go out of business because business dropped off from raising prices to cover food delivery fees. Lets not even get into the fact that drivers do batch orders to maximize revenue so it's a crap shoot if you get cold food.
- Residents of cities get to deal with traffic congestion from double parked drivers dropping off of collecting food.
- Drivers get paid a pittance, at or under minimum wage once non-paying time and costs like gas are factored in. Some even lose money.
- Investors get screwed as Uber and GrubHub continue to lose money year after year

And corporate management gets a fat bonus and paycheck. Fark them. Support your local restaurant by ordering directly from them on the phone or on their website. Cut out the middlemen.
