Are they selling tickets to hit them in the balls with musical instruments? If so, I've got $1,000 to use a Yamaha baby grand.

The first time I heard "Dig" was my first Grandpa Simpson moment. I knew I used to be with It. But suddenly I realized that It had changed, and I no longer liked It. And It will happen to you...

Mudvaynes first album was freaking amazing.  it was like LSD influenced, technically proficient metal; when it came out, among my friends we were all blown away.

the second album, less so. but still a really good album.

After that, meh.

But they were amazing with LD 50. Such proficient musicians & great ebb and flow to their shiat where you could get wild, then catch your breath, rinse and repeat. as soon as they hit the second stage out in the field at ozzfest that year, we made a b-line straight to the front.

A year or so later, i made a trip to illinois to see them, and still a great show.  one distinct memory was that i went into the bathroom at the place, & there was a turd in an empty plastic cup on the floor.

Someone quoted him as saying he invented slap bass. Kid may be a badass, but his attitude blows.

Everything is Awful: All of those albums covers for Hellyeah are hilariously bad.

FTFY

I think the only great side project from anyone who played in pantera, was Down.  I do kind of like rex browns solo stuff, though.  Hellyeah was absolutely atrocious.

Saw Damageplan a couple weeks before Dime was killed. Sadly i was more happy just to get to be that close to him watching him play, as i really didn't think the band & music was very well done.

I assumed as much, but I've never actually heard anything by them.

When the "brbr-deng" meme (based off the bassline from the group'shiat song "Dig") exploded in popularity in 2019

I must have been doing something more important 2 years ago, like washing my hair, to have missed out on this.

Isn't that when they called themselves Math-Metal?

that sure sound familiar, but i don't remember the band ever saying that in interviews, it was more forums arguing if they were nu metal, prog or something else.
