I'm assuming photos of people in coffins. It used to be popular back in the earlier days of photography.

It was the only way to keep people from being blurry due to exposure times.

I remember from my storage unit days, there was one that was obviously from a medical practice. I don't know how HIPAA applies to found records, but I wasn't going to mess with it.

My dad has an antique stereoscope and with it are slides of lepers in a leper colony and autopsies that appear to be for student instruction.... it's pretty farking cool

Neat! I've got a bunch of stereoscopes too. They are a really fun look into the paat.
