I could be wrong, but I thought the "You smell good" line was in both versions of Justice League?

And it looked like that wasn't even what she said and it was dubbed over?

I think the previous Green Lantern movie poisoned the well to such a point that other than the occasional reference, it'll be a long , long time before the actual character shows up in any serious capacity.

Which is a shame, because it's a better character than Cyborg, and the movie, while stupid, was nowhere near as bad as Suicide Squad, and that movies reboot still drags along the three worst characters from the first one.

I did quite enjoy Green Lantern showing up in a non-serious capacity in Deadpool 2.

Mr. Mind, the talking worm scientist in Shazam lore, is a better character than Cyborg the Motherjockbox.

Aw man. Now the poor guy's gotta settle for playing Shakespeare.

Originally, she said, "Gee, your rot smells terrific, " but they had to edit for time, and ADR

Do any of these interviews ever ask him why he decided to make a grimdark train wreck of a movie? That seems to be the oddball choice he made, not necessarily the GL casting. At this point, have him just write out the full list of what he "originally" wanted in the movie and get it notarized. If he wants to keep making movies and being in public, he can never mention anything not on that list.

Maybe put a picture of the actor referenced in your article.

Seeing that Ray Fischer had a hand in picking this guy us green lantern fans dodged a bullet on this one.

Looking forward to the HBOmax series and the supposed movie coming out in a few years.

Which is weird that it poisoned the well for the character since while not a good movie, Reynold's GL movie was still a better movie than most of the rest of the recent DC movies.

There *was* a Green Lantern in the theatrical release, and Snyder cut him out.

Snyder cut.  Is that irony, or just a pun?

There is a lantern in the Snyder cut but he/she is different and less.

the filmmaker went on to say that Carr's Green Lantern suit was wholly CG due to coronavirus restrictions.

So did he film naked?  Would be pretty funny if they had to put those little balls on his little . . . feet.

that scene is still in Zack's Re-Rack, but its edited and framed differently (the ring flies at Darkseid briefly before making a hard turn away, which made me laugh)

There's also a dead Kilowogg in one of the Mad Batmax future-vision-dream-brainfart scenes

This will most likely suck. I'm just happy the Ryan Reynolds version will carry on the mantle of best superhero movie ever made

I was watching Weekend Today with Willie Geist, and he was celebrating his five year anniversary, and they had celebrities wishing him a happy anniversary.
Ryan Reynolds send a video saying "five years? That is not even a thing, who cares, what is the big deal? get over yourself!" That sort of thing.

Then Willie Geist said "Thanks to Green Lantern star and celebrity alcohol salesman Ryan Reynolds"

That was funny.

This.  Anyone but Ryan Reynolds will just ruin it.

Other than the fact that his training seemed to take about 15 minutes, I thought the Green Lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds actually wasn't that bad. It was just the "here's your ring, here's a few speeches, let us know if you have any questions, talk to you later" thing I didn't like.
