(Apple Insider)   The Coalition for App Fairness wants iOS app distribution & payments to work like Windows. Subby recently bought a Windows 10 laptop with S mode, so even Microsoft has a problem with this   (appleinsider.com) divider line

Huh. On the one hand, I think that's great for the Enterprise side of the house, probably useful for Kid's First PC, and MSFT itself provides instructions on turning it off. On the other hand, not sure why you can't turn the mode back on without reloading the OS.

I'd rather iOS/MacOS stay as different from Windows as possible. Developers need to get that chip off their shoulder and stfu.

Anyone that says "that should work like windows" is either talking about something that is so horrible, being like windows would be an improvement, or they are trying to destroy something good.

I'd love to not have to pay $100/year and be forced to use a Mac and shiatty IDE for the privilege of having Apple take 30% off the top.
