The Mets are often good in April.

Beware June.

Wow, if this keeps up, the other teams will get use to wiping their spikes on Yankee pinstripes and wouldn't that be too bad. I'm so worried!

The ghost of George lives in Tampa.  He has given the Rays the gift of victory against the Yankees to embarrass Hank.

Well, it's nice to actually have a catcher that can throw the ball for a change. Stroman and deGrom have been lights out so far, but who knows how the rest of the staff will shake out. I just hope deGrom doesn't get arrested for murdering someone due to the complete lack of run support he gets.

If the pitchers can remain solid, and Syndergaard and Lugo can come back from their injuries healthy, we'll have a ridiculous rotation and another solid reliever.

Hopefully the hitting will pick up, but I'm glad Alonso isn't a homer or nothing type of hitter at the moment. I'm confident that Conforto and Lindor will also pick up their hitting as well.

New York has lost five straight for the first time since Sept. 4-8, getting outscored 30-14.

"Aaron Judge struck out three times, and he is four for his past 28. Hicks has one hit in his past 15 at-bats, Gleyber Torres three in his past 24 and Giancarlo Stanton, despite a second-inning home run, is three for his past 26. Frazier is one for his past 24 and does not have an RBI in 40 plate appearances this season.
New York's batting average is down to .210, one point above the AL-worst Cleveland Indians."

Yikes, 8 for 117 hitting.

There's only one little issue: The Mets' bullpen is still dogsh*t on a stick.

I know it's a copout, but I'll take as many double headers as possible at the moment. I hate the rule, because I'm fairly traditional when it comes to baseball, but I will use the new rules to our strength every chance possible.

I still don't know how Familia has a job

Pfft. The Cubs have told the rest of the league to hold their beers when it comes to who can do the BA limbo.

/they're currently slashing .192/.285/.379
//only because the Braves felt pity on them and let them hit a few HRs
///because after last Friday they were slashing a pathetic .166/.267/.307
