She held the title for about 18 months.  Not too bad.

Quality of life matters a lot when getting that old. There's "I still feel like dancing" old, and then there's "when will this suffering end?" old.

It's like the position is cursed or something.

Hester Ford had 12 children, 48 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren, and approximately 120 great-great-grandchildren.

This reads like a spay and neuter commercial.

There is always an oldest living American

Dead at 115? Pfft. My grandmother's 134 and she's dead too.

The oldest living American isn't dead. Think about that for a second.

That explains why she no longer laughed at my penis these last few years.

Married at 15... And last month would have been her 100th wedding anniversary.

Her husband is probably lucky he died. Can you imagine being the husband having to set the precedent for coming up with the 100th year wedding anniversary gift?

Man. He died just 10 months before JFK.
So she had a motive?

Sending out over 5 birthday cards every week is what killed her.

Can you imagine dating her after that? Is there anything, anything at all, she hasn't tried in the bedroom, or any other room?

Actually I would suffer any suffering you could imagine in exchange for living 1 million years.
Only because I'm interested in seeing what happens to this stupid farking country.

Putting a $5 bill in every card adds up pretty fast, so she had to save some money somewhere.

I somehow get the impression you wouldn't have to live a million years to see it come to an end. Significantly less than that, in fact.

In a million years you would be the current equivalent of Homo Paranthropus to then modern humans. If we haven't been displaced by a new descendant.

Here's hoping. Because I'm really curious if the cartels will try to take Mexico back to the original Atzlan. Which includes Texas, California, and the Southwest.

Hell, in 2021 I wouldn't mind being someone's pet.

I like to be Paris Hilton's Chihuahua.
