That's a great bit, from the hissing and all the little flourishes it's awesome.

I mean Foo Fighters certainly isn't, but this album was a lot of fun:

For Ozzy, I would've went with the Reverend Aaron Gilstrom in Trick or Treat, aka the "Skippy-from-Family-Ties Heavy Metal" movie.

Back in the day, one of my best friends was an absolutely stunning blonde. A guy who worked for Bill Graham had the hots for her so she was invited to many concerts with backstage passes. As her less flashy sidekick, I went along many times. Once I met Ronnie James Dio. He was nice enough But I was struck by how tiny and wizened he was. Shocking that huge voice came out of that compact package.

Not sure if its really a cameo because I think he gets fairly high billing but Corey Glover shows up in Platoon a handful of times:

ZMugg: Dave Grohl is metal?

His band isn't metal, but in a personal way just as a guy he's a metal dude. Like if he was just a dude in your town you'd see him at metal shows and stuff.

"Random bodyguard"? Put some respect on Hugh Benny's name; if it weren't for that rat fark (in the words of Pacino's character), Vincent never would've received the tip about the bank robbery & engaged that big action centerpiece. The reveal of Hugh being a Criminal Informant passes quickly in the movie but adds the extra layer to the character other than just having him necklessly sneer at whomever William Fichtner's character is speaking to.

I've watched Heat way too many times.

Yeah, but Lemmy's cameo in  John Wayne Bobbit, Uncut, seems to me a better choice. He's the guy that finds the dingus on the side of the road!

Not a lot, Henry Rollins just seemed to turn out to be an arrogant ass that happened to be in a band in the 90s.

Ronnie James Dio:

Huge larger-than-life voice, huge larger-than-life heart, all wrapped up in a tiny little frame for ease of travel.

The article is "cameos you MISSED," so Alice Cooper in Wayne's World doesn't count, people.

And how can a movie called Paradise City not feature a cameo from someone in GnR (or are they prominently featured in the movie - I've never seen it)?

I'm pretty sure he would be surprised to be on this list, but he'd be happy to take the exposure anyway.  He in no way needs it, but that wouldn't stop him :)

I can't find a good image, but the very brief cameo of Lemmy as Captain Dale pouring out a bucket of blood on Psych! (There Might be Blood) was pretty cool.
