"The former president literally became the very domestic enemy to the Constitution he swore to defend,"

I will not disagree here.

This may not get far legally but Trump and his spawn should never be allowed to forget all the blood on their hands.

I wonder how many of them regularly jerk themselves off to this knowledge and to the amount of money they made from the suffering.

I think this would work better as a class action lawsuit encompassing... (checks notes)... about 300,000,000 Americans.

My time's been occupied looking for a job and I'm trying to forget Trump's existence so I've only been paying attention to relevant news. Out of morbid curiosity, has there been any movement on the New York State criminal cases?

I mean, that's a pretty reasonable amount for that kind of damage, and a totally reasonable amount to obtain.

/Yes, I just called becoming more than five Jeff Bezos reasonable.
//At least as reasonable as managing to play a major role in killing 500,000 of your own citizens at POTUS.

soooo... in the unlikely event they win and get paid that's a trillion bucks spread amongst 75 people?

Seems a little, slimy.

But hey... reap what you sow, aye?

He doesn't even have a million.

There are reports that he's losing weight.. which may indicate he can't afford McDonalds anymore.

They win the lawsuit.  Lawyers get $ billions in cash. Plaintiffs get guest passes to Trump hotels and casinos.

This. That's one trillion, eight billion more than he's worth.

Do y'all recall that scene from Game of Thrones when Dany opened the vault of Qarth and found it empty?

Relevant.

Another day, another lawsuit against Trump?

Just toss it on the ever-growing pile.

How does one join this lawsuit?  Asking for 81,000,000 friends.

After the lawyers fees, we get a $1.25 rebate check if you can show a Trump Steaks receipt.

Sign me up.  I suggest we add the Federal Government and Republican members of Congress to the suit.  Biological Warfare isn't about people bleeding to death from their eyeballs in the street, but rather about disinformation and lopsided resource distribution.  Under Trump's leadership, the Federal Government waged war against the bottom 2/3rds of the nation, and they need to be held accountable.

They'll get the letters "TR" since his name is the only thing that has value and doesn't have a lien on it.

Unfortunately, this is exactly why a sitting President can't be sued in civil court for actions taken while President.

Otherwise, every time a President signs a bill for anything, then they'll get sued by someone who didn't like it.

It might be a valid reason and obviously a headline-grabbing number, but it won't even see the inside of a courtroom.

He's no longer a sitting President.  Also, Presidents get sued all the time in their capacity as chief executive.

Suing the government because you think an action they took is unconstitutional is perfectly fine. Suing a President for damages in civil court for actions they took while they were a sitting President is a non-starter.  Nixon v Fitzgerald, 1982
