Actions vs vapid verbiage tend to sway folks. Could also be the public is tired of the GOP racist parade of morons.

Turns out that following up a God-awful monster isn't actually hard to do.  Just be a decent human being and give the people what they want and deserve and your popularity skyrockets.  Unless you're a huge racist, then your popularity has a much lower ceiling

You'd have to be a real monster to want to harm Uncle Joe.

I'm good with that.

I like these folksy R quotes in the article as if they didn't pump-fist for insurrection, support a loony, a guy we knew was a loony and a household joke since the 80's. They stood against everything actually American in the name of winning over sound governance.  Now a guy just goes to work as president and they're like he won't talk to us.

Keep going, Joe. If they don't want to govern, just leave them impotently gnashing their teeth

To their astonishment, their efforts to fark the vote weren't enough, hence all the new suppression laws.

Typical Fark fart-sniffing.

If Dems don't do enough with the time they have, Republicans will own Congress and the presidency in 2022 and 2024.

Stop thinking that you don't have to justify the votes if you win.

they understand exactly why they lost

their EC rigging, gerrymandering, and vote suppression only gave then a roughly 12% handicap and they needed 15%.  thats why theyre doubling down on all that shiat AS HARD AS POSSIBLE while distracting everyone with silliness like this.

He's doing things people like and want, and he won't insult people and engage in name calling, and we can't get people to hate him! Why?? WHY?!?

2021-04-17 2:07:10 PM
This is one of the reasons Joe was the right choice for president. Just about any other dem would have had something for the shiatheads to grab onto and make hay of.

2021-04-17 2:08:52 PM
i shouldnt say 'EC rigging'
thats as bad as saying 'fake election'

inherent EC bias.  which is why they are so against giving equal representation to votes by keeping the broken EC unchanged.  since, right now, it favors them dramatically in a very biased way.

They could try to develop popular policy positions with intent to help people, stop acting like a an entire party of Cruella Deville's, stop relying on dystopic hyperbole as campaign slogans, and design legislation with the sole intent to make life easi-lolololol I'm just kidding, they should totally keep warring with the democrats even when their policy positions are incredibly popular, and continue to scream, shout, and stamp their feet about how certain races of people are intent on destroying everything in America. It's a good policy.

Biden was pretty much my last choice for a democratic nominee last year.

But I'm starting to think that he not only might have been the perfect candidate to run against Trump, but he might also be the perfect president against the republicans.

He is immune to all their bullshiat.

I really wanted a queer black Muslim woman for president, but just maybe wonderbread-man is the perfect fit for the moment.

Well - you can cut taxes and give billions of dollars to thousands of people. Or you can help millions of people by sharing their billions of tax revenues with them in thousand dollar increments.

What policy proposal are the GOP offering?  They give bags of money to the wealthy and drive up the deficit.  Then they have the gall to complain about spending money on the middle class and taxing the rich to pay for infrastructure.  Exactly how are the competing?  Sex trafficking and Jewish space lasers aren't inspiring to most.

Since the GOP hasn't really bothered coming up with any new ideas for the past 40 years they are now finding they are incapable of doing anything but attacking the opposition in whatever underhanded way they can think of.

Some people may not like him, but President Biden is probably the perfect person to resist GOP attempts at character assassination as legislation.

See what some people here get wrong. Biden wasn't dumb to reach out to Republicans then them refuse. He knew it would most likely happen and that would let him go on to push his own agenda without it looking like he was doing it in a partisan way.

republicans "half" of the senate represents about 40 million less americans.  the fact that they can hold up progress for all the rest of us b/c a bunch of qanon ranchers and their free range cattle and scrub brush count the same as 2 or 3 actual voting americans in other states is the system problem i was talking about above.

in a functional senate the representatives are supposed to use that power to reach compromises.
here and now though they have positioned themselves in a way that their argument is "government is broken" so if they can MAKE government broken unless it does their bidding thats a win/win for them.  its a terrorist hostage takers argument.  do what i want or ill destroy the thing i hate and you like.  a political party that actively does not want to govern should not be allowed to hold power.

Here's the difference between Republicans and ALL other Americans: when Trump was elected, Jimmy Carter asked everyone to give Trump a chance.

But Republicans are too busy trying to tear Biden down to give a moment's thought to trying to uplift the United States of America.
