never heard of M&S. Aldi, on the other hand, is one heck of a bargain food store. love them. save me some big bucks buying better quality no name and goodies from Europe.

My Business Law class covered a case like this - Pepperidge Farm vs Trader Joe's. I also learned that many businesses go after even the hint of trademark infringement because they need to vehemently protect trademarks or else risk loosing it.

I know this is an British thing, but could be a similar thought process going on.

sinko swimo: never heard of M&S.

They're essentially a combination supermarket/department store, traditionally regarded as catering to the middle class. Suffice to say, they're a bit pricier than Aldi.

I love aldi. Who needs name brand stuff? The treasure aisle rocks. I think the only thing I have not liked that I got there - I bought milk chocolate that was made in Poland, slightly different taste than Hershey.

/still ate it
//it's chocolate after all
///mmmm aldi

Well, Billy rapped all night about his suicide
How he'd kick it in the head when he was twenty-five
Speed jive, don't want to stay alive
When you're twenty-five

And Wendy's stealing clothes from Marks & Sparks
And Freddy's got spots from ripping off the stars from his face
Funky little boat race...

I don't really know how Aldi get away with it. They must have one hell of a legal department.

I'd have thought one of the big guns they copy like L'Oreal would have smacked them down hard by now.

I love Apple Cabin Foods! Their "fudge" Melsons are pretty bangin'.
