Good job.

I supposed Ken Paxton's going to file a frivilous lawsuit over this. He does for everything else. Texas always has the money to sue the federal government but never has the money to expand Medicare for its citizens.

Oh, you want more Medicaid money, Texas?

Well, I mean, since about 2010, you have been saying it was communistic socialism that was going to leave states with this huuuuuuge financial burden and bankrupt the whole country while grandma after grandma were to be thrown on the funeral pyre like so much kindling but sure, here's a path forward.

Larry Levitt @larry_levitt

Under the American Rescue Plan, Texas could expand Medicaid and net $1.9 billion from the federal government for two years.

The federal government would pay 90% of the cost after that.

1.4 million uninsured people would become eligible for Medicaid.

I just farking hate Republicans. farking short-sighted crybabies.

is everyone reading this article farking simple? RTFA

In its final week, the Trump administration told Texas officials that it had approved a 10-year extension for its Medicaid plan, which was set to expire in 2022.

Trump was trying to prematurely renew the 1115 for TEN YEARS. 2022 is ONE YEAR from NOW. I'm half awake and I know Becerra's HHS is not going to approve a farking 1115 waiver that undermines Medicaid expansion until 2032

Subby, you suck.

You suck almost as hard as unqualified asshole Verma sucked on Trump's dick while she was granting unearned waivers based on who was shoving money in her twat.

Yup. Texas sucks. Back in 2017, my COBRA ran out. I tried purchasing insurance on the public marketplace, but my income fell below the subsidized threshold, and I wasn't eligible for Medicaid. So, I called my mom in California, told her what was up, and moved in with her. Had Medicaid coverage a week after I landed. I was even able to get a surgery I'd needed for 20+ years that wasn't covered by private insurance and I'd never be able to afford on my own. Probably saved my life. And while I love a lot of things about Texas and miss the family and friends there, I won't be moving back until it's safely out of Republican hands.
