Lock her up.

I'd like to hear her lawyer trying to explain to the judge why he told her to destroy evidence.

I would hate to be her counsel.  Either you let her show up with a mesh mask and look like an smart ass ignoring the order or you tell her to ditch it so she only looks like an asshole

You can see her Shiat-Eating Grin underneath the mesh.

We all know someone like this. She probably thought this clever, and what fun is it if nobody knows? Gotta film it and put it on social media to show what a bad ass she is.

2021-04-16 4:08:14 PM
But if she gets jail time her lawyer will argue it would be inhumane. She might catch the Trump virus

2021-04-16 4:08:28 PM
Why is the judge giving her 10 days to show cause?  I would revoke her release and give her 10 days to show cause why I should not have revoked it.

Also, for any further appearance in my courtroom, she would be wearing one of those full-hood masks they give to the spitters & biters.

I can understand the lawyer advising her not to wear it anymore but specific instructions to throw it away seem like a real problem they will both regret.

Judge Lambreth is noted for his extreme lack of a sense of human or patience with fools.  He's threatened to put a sitting cabinet secretary in jail  when his dept tried to say they couldn't produce records in a lawsuit because the warehouse they were stored in was covered in rat droppings and well. hantavirus, yer honor...

These clowns are assured that because their leaders get away with absolutely anything, there will never be any real consequences for them either.

And in point of fact, most of the trailer-park insurrectionists are still walking around freely. They may have court dates sometime in the next year or so, but the only consequence they've suffered so far is a day or two listening to lawyers and judges use fancy book words.

Justice delayed is justice denied, and so far, these chuckles haven't learned shiate.

The filing says "the defendant responded that her attorney advised her to throw it away". I'm gonna go ahead and just assume she's either lying or chose to deliberately misunderstand her instructions because there's no way her attorney is that dumb.

Other than that, this is by far the dumbest one I've seen.

Because by doing it that way, rather than your suggestion, he's basically made this show cause order, and any decisions arising from it and her response, appeal proof.

That, and he's giving this dumbass and her (potentially equally dumbass) lawyer the chance to dig themselves even deeper, so he is then fully justified when he throws the book at them.

For the record, this judge has handled a few Klayman cases and at least one Orly Taitz case, and didn't come through, in orders in those cases, as grumpy as he does here.

2 things in court to remember.
1) In the court room the judge is boss.
2) ignoring rule 1 can result in finding out the hard way.

Christ it is just a piece of cloth to cover your pie hole.

Because 10 days is how much time you have to respond to an order to show cause.

THEN you can lock her up.

That's why you are not a lawyer.

This is true, although these days I'm more inclined to believe that there are assholes everywhere.

If she is lying, wouldn't you expect the lawyer to fire her as a client?

And I'm betting no one cares.  If she insists it was particle proof to the same extent as acceptable cloth, she has the burden of proof and has no proof.   Otherwise the video is pretty clear.

Therefore, the lawyer would have insisted on taking possession of a mask that exonerates the client, and you can conclude in this case that the client is guilty as hell and has no chance.  And as indicated there's no evidence that she follows rules like telling the truth either.

The lawyer still has to appear at the show cause hearing.
As for whether the lawyer would fire her for lying about it, depends on the lawyer's ethics, need for cash, committment to crazy conspiracies, and/or sick sense of humor I guess. Maybe the lawyer enjoys getting paid to represent her while laughing inside at her continuing to hang herself.

Maybe: I once overheard an attorney say to his client "Go ahead and do that and I'll have a laugh when the judge locks you right up." I don't know what "that" was, but only a few moments later the judge told that attorney's client that, if Mr. Client didn't settle down, the judge was going to have him locked up.

Not if defending himself creates a conflict of interest in defending the client.

She set him up to make a withdrawal because she's probably lying. He probably told her to put on a proper mask and start treating this seriously because she may already face jail. She, being a genius, freaked at the question from pretrial and blamed him.
