like, this guy has a right to work, and, I'm sure he's good at what he does... I just think it's time for there not to be a job called "Church Organist"... I mean...

I play piano and sometimes I've been called upon to play organ. Organ is a whole other game. Respect to the people who can really do it because there's just too much going on for me to handle.

The seventies and eighties had some REALLY good tv intros.  I've been watching CHiPs lately.  The show is ok, but the intro is fantastic.

I've done some research online, and if I'm understanding these videos correctly, when you encounter an organ that's too much to handle, you should ask a friend or two to lend a hand. Whether to involve another pianist would be a matter of personal preference.

I would be really impressed if he did the Airwolf theme.

Would you be impressed with the Airwolf theme on the Floppotron?

A-Team was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Which was when the show was in re-runs. I should go get them for my plex server

Our church organist use to play the old Mickey Mouse Club theme, like they did at the end of the show, but very slow and somber. After I found out, it became quite difficult to keep the grin off my face.

Was at my church one Saturday doing work on the office computer and our band for contemporary services was there for weekly practice before Sunday's service.  Someone was on the church organ playing music; it wasn't the organist but her young son.

After a pause the organ lets loose with "The Imperial March" from Star Wars - Empire and it was incredable.  John Williams would have been impressed.  The kid has played special music with his Mom on the piano before at services but I had no idea he was that good on an organ.  Seems he got the musical gene from Mom.

Church would be more exciting if it was all 70's and 80's TV show tunes.

A few years ago the lady who plays the organ at our church got a little confused. I don't know what hymn she started playing but halfway through the second verse she was playing It Wasn't God Who Made Honkytonk Angels.

I like that the guy shooting the video made sure to get a lot of footage to let us know he was in a church. :-)

Had to drop by to make sure this got posted... My absolute favorite part in that sequence is the organist passing out at the end of the song, followed closely by everyone holding the candles up. :-)

Not bad, though it sounds like he needs a bit of practice. I heard more than a couple stumbles in there. What's really odd is that the A-Team theme doesn't sound out of place being played in the church, it would not seem unusual to me to hear that followed by the usual "let us pray."

//Maybe it's the upbeat tone
/Or it could just be a case of "anything sounds like church music when played on an organ"

I had a church organist warm up with badass songs like Wring That Neck back when I was younger

Wow as an 80's kid I always looked up to Erik Estrada as clearly the star of the show- but comes in the opening credits after whitey?

I think Hans Zimmer should be commissioned by the Vatican (like Mozart was) to write a modern day organ piece, he's clearly a genius of our time

It's it a job? I had assumed it was more like the church ushers and choir where they were volunteers.

\We should really be beyond church at this point, let alone church jobs.
