Could I counter with a can of black spray paint from Batman Begins and a tube of "that's not lube!" from American Pie II?

...how in the wretched explosive crap does that sort of thing happen? Minimum production orders?

Did someone think they were going to sell more than ten of these?

Probably either it was a promotional item for a pop-up restaurant or promo giveaway for the movie at some point. But minimum production orders factor into it as you can't just get 10,20 or 50 of something like this done as it's not really practical in terms of cost or effort to print them.

isamudyson:

Most likely a movie theater was supposed to give them away.

Easy thing to do

Pick a sold out show a week or so before. Two or three showings and your stock is gone.

It's that easy.

Nacho Libre should have been better.  You can see that something drastic must have happened, not sure what,  and the re-edit is a hot mess. I really would like to get the behind the scenes skinny on what happened to fark up this movie.

Here Comes The Boom is basically the same movie but, like the star or not, it's better constructed.

Sometimes I find old electronics and whatnot around the house, and I ponder putting it up for sale on eBay. I'll have to take a picture, research prices and create the posting. Not to mention packaging and shipping when the item sells. And I really struggle to justify the effort for anything under $50.

Can't imagine finding these in the attic and doing anything besides putting them in the trash.

I remember working at a theater that still had boxes of "Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare" printed 3D glasses.  I kind of wish I had snagged one - maybe I could have made a dollar on eBay with it.

One day I'm going to unload the poster and banner collection.  I just have to work out all the shipping logistics.

I've got a pile of stuff from an old "dollar theater" that used to be behind a place I worked at. Then, I had to add to it when someone I knew, who was a local club promotor/radio D.J. decided to clear out his stash of stuff (it was like 20 folding tables worth of movie promo junk). Some of it I resold over the years and some I kept. At worse, it makes for interesting conversation pieces.

Subby and ebay posted here.  I found out where they came from! I had a roomate for a while that used to work at Cinemark.  For some mysterious reason, he brought these promo items to my house and stashed them in the attic.  And if nobody wants them on feebay, they go to the trash.  Unless it would be funny to donate them to the goodwill.

somewhere is a factory that produces rubber novelty dog turds. someone spent their families savings on this, and no doubt a large bank loan is in the mix. life makes no sense to me.

Maaaaaybe but what if you held onto them until the 20th anniversary? You just know they will do a special screening or something for it (or the 25th). You could probably camp by the door and get at least $5 a piece for them from fans.

Oh man! It's too late now, there's a bid on it. I will have to get by with my $1 and hope the anniversary gala doesn't make somebody else filthy rich.
