250 panthers left. Wow that's crazy. With those numbers it doesn't seem like they have a chance

Actually, the native Florida panther is already essentially extinct. The remaining "pure" population was down to an estimated 26 unhealthy individuals at one time. Eight female cougars were imported from Texas in 1995.

The Florida animals are now hybrids.

Meanwhile, Florida Bears thriving in Wilton Manors and Key West, seen as far south as Collins Ave.
