I think he's wrong about Utah. The fringe groups go to the states near Utah. It's some kind of magnet for anti-government stuff but it was already full of Mormons and there was no room for militias, rogue ranchers, etc so they had to wait outside the border looking longingly at the Great Salt Lake.

I don't think countries throwing off their colonial masters is really a matter of said colonial masters being neglectful or vain.

Oregon:  Nothing to see; move along.  You know there's movie stars down there in California.  That Space Needle in Seattle is quite something, too.

Obviously Canadians are not the only people who are "maliciously well informed" compared to the "benevolent ignorance" of Americans. But that is a great quip about Canadians apart from being untrue on both points. There are plenty of Americans--mostly industry shills and whores--who are maliciously well-informed on cross-border trade issues, because their Masters insist on it, while many Canadians (and Brits) are clueless and misinformed beyond belief.

This stuff is so brilliant it must be the work of more than one snarky Brit. I think that like Andy Warhool, the Beës is running a fame factory.

You're a punt.

Sorry. That was just a throw-away line, a black out gag, a pun more than a poon. Nothing personal intended.

Whereas Maine has only the Grand Wizard, Steven King. The real thing, the one and only. Accept no substitutes.

Full points for accuracy on those, although they may not be as funny because they seem obvious once you see them.

"Pretty much nails it" is an overstatement. Quite a few were amusing, but quite a few were flat out wrong. Using the same joke 5 times in a row was a special moment of creativity and wit.

He got dumped but we have senile Grassley, neo-fascist Ernst and trump fellator Reynolds, barbi doll Hinson and election thief Miller Meeks and while I'm at it we contribute more per capita to the Gulf of Mexico dead zone than any other state.

As I live in Cedar Rapids and truly do like bacon I thought that was a very appropriate name.  You probably don't know that Iowa is also responsible (Collins Aerospace) for GPS which every one loves and, actually, putting a man on the moon.

He's wrong about Nebraska. Nebraska isn't flat. It has over 4,500 feet of elevation change.

Maryland is sorta a theme-park, but with crabs or carbs or something.  (And Old Bay.)

Also, they are the poster child for white privilege in that everything British people think, do, and say is regarded as "sensible" and anyone else is obviously crackers.

Britain also likes to pretend that when being forcefully thrown out the door they left politely and for everyone's own good now that their colonies we "all grown up."
