Does having a company claim a copyright on a dong you design canonize it? Because you can't say you own the copyright on something without saying it belongs to you  right?

At that point, Nintendo is claiming that it's a depiction of their dong design.

The artist has now made the penis open source and free for anyone to download.

Open sores? Ouch.

They named it "Bowser" and put the (I'm assuming copyrighted) signature spike collar. There are tons of ways to avoid a direct copyright claim, and they didn't do it.

Interesting grounds to contest the DMCA claim on.  I'd like to see the case in front of a judge.

The key is to claim it's a dong, not Bowser's dong. Assuming ownership of the dong was their mistake.

Am I the only one thrown off by the color?  There should be a lot less pink and a lot more green/purple.

Just remove any mention of Bowser, and it could be anyone's dick.

Trying to animate using Blender is hard enough, but trying to animate through SFM is telling the world "I hate myself and I want to spend the rest of my life being as wretchedly miserable as possible".

It certainly doesn't look like a turtle or dragon, or indeed even vaguely reptilian dong at all.

I'm really curious if Nintendo could even have a claim here as they depict Bowser dongless. He clearly created something that isn't part of the original character, and I'd argue doesn't look like it belongs on said original character.

Kids these days have it so easy. In the 60s 70s 80s being a rip-off was practically a religion. And it was nearly always clear what was being ripped off.

The guy from Sha na na certainly predates Nintendo bowser.  I don't see any grounds for claim here

The mistake was using the name "Bowser". Nintendo is not claiming ownership of the dong, they are claiming ownership of the name and possibly the trade dress.

Having said that, the design itself seems rather unimaginative and definitely not remotely reptilian. His design also looks like it has a bad case of genital warts. If it didn't have the name Bowser attached I don't think I would have immediately thought of the Nintendo character.
