That's kind of being optimistic. The EU could send military units. The US could flood Ukraine with weapons.

War between Russia and Ukraine would be pretty bad for everyone.

There are still some buttons that could be pressed. Stronger sanctions could still really hurt Russia.

Also I'm pretty certain that the US (and therefore NATO) has tactical air superiority.

We're not getting into a shooting war on Russia's doorstep.

Excellent.
Fewer bullets, less .mil casualties.
The best part? It'll FORCE the GOP to address Russia. If Biden were smart, he'd take Putin's bait on this golden opportunity for unity.

2014 just before Putin invaded Crimea and eastern Ukraine : nothing is happening... all good, just training... right now there's MORE russian troops around Ukraine than there was in 2014 before the invasion. But eh, keep thinking its nothing.

I figure I'd bring it up when the comment count was still low cuz I hate when dupes get yanked after a full convo is happening.

I'd prefer they not get yanked at all but tagged with REPEAT and a link to the OG.

It seems like everyone is finally getting sick of Putin's shiat. So it seems like the US, the EU, Nato, and other countries are willing to support the Ukraine if shiat goes down. No one really gives a shiat about the Ukraine, but they hate Putin enough to help defend the country. Yay?

Just think, if they had handed over the dirt on Hunter Biden maybe Trump would have fast-tracked them into NATO. Instead, they're a 3rd party independent with no dependable friends to be found.

Biden was the pacifist in the "Obomba" White House, an even Mr Airstrike himself didn't lift a finger to help Ukraine in 2014. They're farked, which is a shame. Beautiful country. I really enjoyed Kiev in the snow.

Ukraine's army of 2021 is much more kicking ass than ukraine army in 2014. All they need is more hardware.

NATO-US should make it clear that Putin does anything, there will be a flood of anti-tank, anti-air and anti-ship missiles into ukraine, it'll be so bloody for russian forces, the russian people will demand Putin's head on a platter.

"In conventional war, we could defeat Ukraine in two days,"

This is where it really sounds stupid. Ukraine's military is not small and weak. Russia's is stronger, but a conventional war between Russia and Ukraine would be long and bloody, and Putin really can't afford that.

Say "Vladimir, come on, don't do this, we're gonna have a good relationship"? That's what he said his response to Russian provocation would be. I assume he'd also say Russia has some good reasons for invading, and Ukraine never helps us out, and if they really wanted our help they would investigate Hunter Biden.

I'm thinking Biden's not going to do any of those things.

Yeah, it could be massive cyber warfare. Or we can just unplug Russia from the internet. Sure, it's unlikely to completely disconnect them, but it sure as shiat would slow them down.

Exactly.  Russian regular forces couldn't beat them without serious casualties when it was a compilation of volunteer battalions with hunting rifles mixed in with some regular troops and some heavy equipment. The Ukrainian Army is much better trained and equipped now and with some help with advanced weapons and intel, they could put up a serious fight against the Russians.  Russia would resort to their age old tactic of "hope the enemy runs out of bullets before we run out bodies".
