I'd noticed governments had stopped the nonstop complaining about WhatsApp encryption. I see why.

Using Facebook to spy on its users is prohibited, only Facebook is allowed to do that.

I read the whole thing and still fuzzy.

NSO Group - a private company that sells spyware

Other Countries - bought the software

Facebook - is suing NSO for selling to other countries?

Courts - We need Uncle Sam to speak on the matter first?

That's cute, considering the IDF flattened  Gaza's water treatment plant back in 2018.

Facebook isn't suing them for selling the product, they're suing them for using an exploit in WhatsApp to infect users with spyware; and Facebook is observing that no country has actually come forward and said they bought the spyware for their own use, nor has the US State Department made any representation along those lines, so NSO's argument that they're covered under sovereign immunity is bullshiat.

Maybe the Palestinians governments should spend their time and money on electricity and infrastructure instead of on rockets, tunnels and Jew-murderers salaries.
Improvements to the lives of Palestinians doesn't help their governments a whole lot; HAMAS and the PA have little interest in improving the lives of their citizens (if it doesn't involve the wholesale destruction of Israel).

thanks.  That makes more sense.  I imagine no state actors are going to come forward either.

Wasn't that the whole issue behind CamAnal?  They were stealing Facebook's IP?

/Google had to clean up their act ages ago when China hacked them
//China got data on Chinese subjects and search engine know-how.  Win-win!
///don't think anyone can lock down from modern cyber-warfare now.  Only one side has any real research being done (the other might have some, but also expect disinformation campaigns).
