He's just saying that to throw the deep state off track.  On 5/23 he will reveal to the country and the world that he is the true power in the White House and legitimate president.

Even worse; it was originally a Raw Story article.

He'd better have his golden apple ready.

Rejoin reality? That's like asking a meth head to stop taking meth after being explained how bad it is for them. They have fully committed to the Q-Anon "milk any mayo left out in the GA sun for 2 days" culture and will fully embrace the lie harder than any prole in 1984.

If I recall, the chairman of that committee can request the tax returns of *any* individual, and the statute says the IRS "shall provide" them.  Trump fought it because he said it didn't apply to the sitting President.

Now that he's not President, he should have no legal recourse to fight it.

Of course he will fight it, all the way to SCOTUS if he can, just to keep anyone from seeing his tax returns.  But the Manhattan DA already has them, so the damage is done.

Duhhh, when the committee asked for his tax returns, he couldn't be compelled because he was the President. Now, he can't be compelled because he's a private citizen. Obvious.

This question is rhetorical.

You're correct on the arguments, and they are tiresome.

Eventually those tax returns are going to be public.

And we're either going to find out he's a criminal, or broke, or a broke criminal.

When you argue with a conspiracy theorist, you are never arguing over the merits of the conspiracy.  You're arguing over the conspiracy theorist's idea that he/she is so much smarter than everyone else.

1) Disinfo is necessary.

2) Trump is not the President of the corporation of the United States, he is the President of the restored Constitutional United States and as such the IRS (which oversees the former) has no jurisdiction.

Qultists have an excuse for everything.

2021-04-13 10:34:42 AM
I mean, these idiots are just blowing off the mounting evidence that Matt Gaetz paid for sex with kids as "conspiracy theory", while they scour Tom Hanks' Twitter feed for evidence that that boat that got stuck in the Suez Canal was delivering kids to him to be harvested for adrenochrome.

They are completely divorced from reality.  They are hopeless.

Reminds me of Executive Orders where the former VP (trying to assert he's the rightful President) files a case about movement restrictions, and promptly shoots himself in the foot by declaring Jack the President.

Not that it'll matter to a Q supporter at all. They'll just claim it's all theater, or 5D chess, or something.

Well, he'll have an aide do it. Swords are heavy.

If I recall, Mitch McConnell objected to the second impeachment of Republican President Donald Trump because there "wasn't enough time before the end of his presidency," and then later objected to the second impeachment of Republican President Donald Trump because "he isn't president anymore."

Mitch McConnell also held a Supreme Court slot open for a year because Obama was in the last YEAR of his presidency, then rammed through Sister Amy to the Supreme Court during the last few WEEKS of Trump's presidency.

Don't count on Republicans being consistent unless it directly benefits THEM is what I'm getting at here.

It would be nice if the QAnons gave up on Trump before he starts getting dragged into court to answer for his crimes. Maybe they can all go make pizza in Matt Gaetz basement or something?

And is that 05/23/2021
or 05/xx/2023?

His arguments have been "You can't have my taxes, I'm president" followed by "You can't have my taxes, I'm not president."  Among conservative legal 'theorists', this is called a Tater Tautology.

Pretty sure that some of the people who need them most have them already.

I do know, however, that if I ever get sued or anything or subpoenaed, I am going to use the Dotard argument and say you cannot make me or whatever he does since he never has any repercussions.

Trump has never had a problem claiming completely opposite positions to different recipients based on his personal benefit. Eg. Property valuations vis a vis payment of taxes or receiving of loans.

This was the point in the debate where Hillary should've screamed, "No, it makes you a f*cking crook, you orange tinted rancid custard bag!"  Then she should have thrown one of her sensible shoes at him.  Couldn't have hurt her in the polling anyway.  Neither she or Uncle Joe took a swing at him in any of the debates, so they're both much calmer people than I am and better suited to be President than the Tangerine Turkey Turd.  Is it just the threat of legal retribution that has kept Donnie Dumbass from getting his butt kicked up and down New York all these years?  How has no one clobbered him in his smug farking face otherwise?

Here is something fun about that.

It was that person right there that made me realize something for the first time.  And that is:
The more often someone says that they are smart, the more likely it is that they are an idiot.
Also...
The more often someone takes credit for accomplishments, the less of a chance there is that they accomplished anything.

I had never before seen such clear examples of these rules until that dude came along.

it won't matter, they are lying, they know they're lying. They do not care about the inconsistencies, beyond the fact that they know it pisses you off for them to be hypocrites. They don't deserve an honest conversation or a good faith attempt at reason. They deserve an ax to the face if anything, but since I'm not stooping to their level of scum baggery I'll just ignore them and their opinions that are so wrong that they can't even pretend to defend it in good faith. fark em all.

I imagine that with no daily threat of an orange apocalypse driving site traffic down (and doubling the cost of TF) tptb can't afford to be so picky.
