Raw spinach salads are awesome. That's all I have to say on the matter.

Spinach saag is wonderful. I make a variation without the cream that's still palatable.

The current advice is to eat 20 to 30 different types of plants per day.  That is much easier because each spice counts as a type of plant.

Raw spinach tastes fine but I always hatted cooked spinach as a kid as it was always very bitter and had lots of nasty flavors.  I don't know if it was how it was cooked or young taste buds are more sensitive but cooked spinach by a good chef is fine.

We eat a lot of spinach. One of our current favorites:

1. Wolfgang Puck's pizza dough recipe
2. Bag of spinach, chopped
3. 20 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
4. 2 cups of cheddar, grated
5. 2 or three glug glugs of olive oil
6. Pinch of salt
7. Hot pepper seeds

Divide the pizza dough into four balls for the final proof. Mix everything else in a large bowl. Get oven to 500F or higher. Make four little spinach pizzas for you and your friends.

There are no typos in this recipe.

My doctor told me to not eat too much spinach due to kidney stones. So, I guess this would be a second reason.

Raw spinach salads are good though.

Is it a product of Spain? Spanish Spinah spinach?

I try to throw some spinach in salads at least twice a week. I can't stand it cooked though. Too slimy for me.

I made pesto last summer with basil from my garden.  Turns out I don't like pesto.

I guess im a strange one cause i loved the canned spinach that the lunch ladies served in elementary school, i still like the stuff. I like a nice fresh spinach salad too. Fresh cooked spinach i could feel the oxalic acid eating into my teeth and it left my teeth green, so i dont do that too much...

Large flour tortillas, 10-12
One dozen eggs
splash of milk
1 red or yellow bell pepper
1 medium onion
2 large potatoes
1/4 lb brown mushrooms
1 lb container pre cut/washed spinach
1 lb pork breakfast sausage, loose
1 lb chez of your choice (other than velveta, american or chez wizz)
A few cloves of garlic

In a cast iron pan, fry up the sausage well, drain retaining the grease and toss into a large bowl.
return 1/2 the grease to the pan, and add the chopped potatoes
when they are 1/2 way done, add the chopped onions and bell pepper
when 3/4 way done, add the chopped mushrooms and garlic and finish frying.
Add to the large bowl, add the remaining grease to the pan along with the beaten egg/milk mixture.
Scramble and add to large bowl
toss all spinach into pan, wilt and add to large bowl.
Mix well, place a tortilla on a plate and fill, add cheese and roll.
Put in a large square dish and repeat until out of filling.
Place in fridge, remove, nuke and eat at will.

Congrats, you now have an awesome breakfast for a couple for a week.

Spinach is awesome. Never met one I didn't like.
