Same as Welker, nothing but respect, and I'm glad he retired before the concussions took him.

He was like this generation's version of Kordell 'Slash' Stewart, where he can do it all.

Congratulations on being a cheating, lying, PED user like Brady. The only difference, of course, is that Julian was popped and served his suspension straight-up.

Brady's suspension was called "Deflategate."

Bet your sorry you let Brady walk away

He went out on a high note, winning the last Super Bowl and retiring.

/last year wasn't a real season

It usually takes a while. Dude got pounded. I'll give it 50/50 he's got psych problems before he gets his AARP card. I'm not wishing for this mind you, just not going to be surprised.

I have doubts he will escape.  The hits he took over the years have taken their toll and will continue to do so. Hopefully I am wrong, but his body absorbed a pounding in the 12 seasons in the league.

One of the great clutch receivers in the post season, ok receiver in the regular season.  Will probably have his number retired by the Patriots, but I don't know that I see him in the Hall of Fame with the PED issue as well as overall low numbers with lack of Pro Bowl and All Pro designations.  He has the rings certainly and was a critical component of many post season runs and success so I could be wrong and he may make the Hall of Fame.

Yes, his knee is a mess, and that's the most boring thing about the guy.  So, why talk about that?

I didn't think anyone could replace Wes Welker and he proved me wrong.

So.. his condition will gradually get better and in early September you will find him with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Serious question - Doesn't the crinkling of the aluminum foil get annoying?  Especially so close to your ears!  It'd drive me bonkers.

Considering that Brady & Edelman were both using the same guy, both were suspended, but one was suspended for the most convoluted thing possible, it's far more likely that "deflategate" was more a cover than anything for PEDs.

Advertisers tend to frown on guys getting popped for steroids. It's why the NFL also looked the other way with respect to Peyton Manning despite the fact that he and Barry Bonds had the same forehead.

And then it crinkled even louder.

I am also so angry that a professional sports athlete used performance enhancing substances.  It's been extrememly uncommon and not totally widespread through every organization since being introduced by Chuck Noll's circle in San Diego in the 1960's.  Therefore I use my time to post about how uncommon it is and I show my friends on the internet how smart I am.

And inveterate gambler Michael Jordan "retired" for a year during his prime to "play baseball". Nutso conspiracy theories are fun.

/Thanks, Julian. Enjoy your retirement. Hopefully your body and brain are stay in good enough shape to enjoy it.

That's nice.  I don't think I've heard even a single New England fan suggest that he should be in the HOF.

Certainly Patriots HOF.   If they had such a thing as "Playoffs HOF" then that would be a great conversation to have.

I find it bizarre that everyone needs to tear down the guy with these NOT HOF strawmen.  Just appreciate him for what he did do.
