He lives on an island that might unexpectedly reboot, and is deleting his back up.
Not surprised at all.

It was so demoralizing working there.  I freed myself 5 years ago this Sunday.

I wrapped up a project removing the last vestiges of Oracle from our system. It was very cathartic.

I'm also glad I had nothing to do with getting that virus in our system to begin with.

What's the difference between Larry Ellison and God?

God doesn't think he's Larry Ellison.

I like the Aussie/British version of that joke where the answer is, "Larry Ellison is a f*****g c**t."

Larry: please pray for me during this stressful time as I demolish the mansion I bought that I never lived in and have no plans to ever visit.  I will have to get by on my private Hawaiian island where I micromanage the lower class peasantry for my amusement.
Due to these circumstances we will need to reorganize Oracle, including cuts to benefits.
Remember, we are all in this together.
I have to go now for my monthly total body CT scan before taking the private jet to an exclusive Swiss private clinic to meet my health "team".  The rest of you will have to wait for the benefits lottery to see if you have catastrophic insurance coverage for 2022.
PS there is dignity living in state low income housing and using an EBT card to buy groceries.  Die with dignity is what I told my parents.  Avoid discussing that or this email with the press.

How can you have any fun at your job if you can't mess with NLS_LANG and TWO_TASK variables all day?

If I was a billionaire I wouldn't have a wine room. I'd have a brewery and restaurant.

There are some insane ultra-weapthy people in New England as well.  One eccentric billionaire bought most of downtown Newburyport MA so he could preserve the brick facade / look of the place.  However he is denying locals the chance to own those properties.
Another insane person, a woman who co-owned manhattan real estate and a well known clothing retailer tried to make Plum Island MA the "New Hamptons" for wealthy New Yorkers.  It already has a small airport, is on the ocean, and near Parker River National Park (made famous as the place Hannibal Lecter wanted to be imprisoned).  She started buying up businesses then closing them and boarding up the buildings to both starve the locals out and tank the value of real estate (it has limited land area, and limited access).  Thankfully she "slipped" on the balcony of one of her buildings and died in the fall.  Unsurprisingly her husband walked away from the siege.
Tell me again why these people need absurdly low taxes and loopholes they could pilot the Ever Given through?

I did a pretty big LP gas installation at that house. It was a really nice setup.

If I were to buy that house, I would send it for an extensive cleaning atleast. The hedge fund manager who lived there that we did the work for was an autistic lunatic. His daddy gave him all the money and toys to play with to get the hedge fund started. I believe he crashed it 2 or 3 times.

He was your stereotypical slob of a spoiled insanely rich fark.
