I'm always curious why they spin off their divisions and services.  I know they spun off their email marketing service about a year ago too.

This seems like a sizeable chunk of business.  Is this just a vehicle to unload debt?

/I don't use Kyndryl after I told my doctor about the adverse side affects.

Hope nothing happens to their Lotus Notes division.

Wouldn't want to see a quality drop in that suite.

This particular bit of business is about services for on-premises computing. So, it is no longer strategic to IBM, which is now all about cloud computing... except for their HW business, which is mostly about on-premises, though they're trying to get that in the cloud as well.

Maybe if police were ever held accountable for the many times they kill unarmed people, we could evaluate this on the basis of possibly being an accident.

However they never hold themselves accountable so even when an accident happens the rest of us are highly dubious.

/hold the bad cops accountable and when you make a mistake people might see it as a mistake instead of just another in a long line of injustices.

Does IBM have to pay extra for vowels?
