....

Yes. Children learn concepts more easily than adults. That's why they are children. That's seemingly an evolutionary trait throughout mammalian species.

Not just that. That 5th grader isn't burnt out at work, stressed from finances, hungover from Johnny Walker, and sexually frustrated with partner.

I mean, probably.

..5th graders that know Matt Gaetz? Ymmv.

in other news, children lack critical thinking skills and generally just accept whatever an adult tells them as true, because they lack the experience to apply to even attempt to deduce if the adult is full of shiat or not.

The term for really young children learning is :Indoctrination.
It is the natural learning process we all start under, and just because someone can repeat back what you said or copy back what you did, does not actuality indicate they have understanding of what they are doing/saying yet.

Kids are "learning" easily becaeu they are just accepting what is said as true rather than trying to filter what is said, though all the decades of knowledge they have accumulated, some of which might actuality wrong.
Which would make trying to udnerstand the truth, that is quite different from the not truth that someone had believed was truth already, much harder actually then to be an empty vessel just willingly acceptant as trained to regurgitate what you are told to prove you "learned" it.

I remember thinking of evolution and survival of the best genes for survival back then. So I would imagine I am smarter than a 5th grader.

Still can't get themselves to the actual school, though.

"This is a really hard concept to learn. Even adults struggle with learning it because it goes against our intuitions about species-the idea that species members possess a special unchanging essence that makes them what they are."

What?  No, it isn't, at least not inherently.  Any fool who's seen a primate at a zoo can start connecting the dots.  It takes years of human-supremacist indoctrination to suppress that understanding.

A fifth grader can recite the capital of Wyoming. An adult can negotiate a divorce. There's a difference.

A 5th grader is learning lots of shiat you forgot.

But that 5th grader is likely to be pretty clueless trying to do your job.

What? You mean all members of a species aren't genetically and physically identical?

You're blowing my mind!

Good thing they tested for more than whether children can recite back what they were told by rote, then.
