Sure. Why not?

That could be good.  Just replace the veggies with some peanuts and almonds.  And instead of salad dressing use caramel.  I don't know what you would call that but I bet it would be tasty.

Croutons have been a salad staple forever.

One of my go-to party dishes is an Asian salad with crumbled ramen noodles, shredded carrots and cabbage, edamame, sesame seeds, and drizzled with a bit of Mayo and sesame oil.  It's quite yummy, but be sure to add the noodles at the last minute to maintain crunchiness.

Maybe finally watch "Mank" instead?

/fark me in my hairy man-armpit, that was even greater than expected

Anything can be a crouton if you're brave enough.

Cool fridge, suuuper cute presenter, but alas, it sounds like something out of Good Housekeeping in 1956.

By the time she got to talking about her carpenter friend I got too hostile to keep listening.

Plus she messed up unnecessary containers and that's just too much work for a snack salad.

Heh! Weight Watchers...

Yes, she's kinda cute. But people who act bubbly on camera tend to be the exact opposite in reality.
The "recipe" is a fail.

Honestly, what is that abomination stuffed with?

I may be stoned enough to try anything, but I'm not white enough to make this. And I'm honkier than a car alarm that won't stop going off at 3AM.

I make this with jalapeno cheese goo and bacon bits. I leave out the salad part, I think... I'll pass out and wake up and find a bowl with a few bits and pieces of bacon, cheese goo, and popcorn in a bowl on the floor next to the couch. There *could* have been lettuce in there.

Jello isn't a salad either, no matter what some people claim.

This. What the hell is wrong with people?

Popcorn is for theaters and movie nights. Not in a farking salad.

I'd like to punch Molly Yeh, the presenter. for being too cutesy.

(yeh, I didn't recognize her. I had to find her name then look her up. She was born in Illinois, the Jewish-Chinese daughter of two clarinetists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molly_Yeh )

Anyway here is the full video and recipe.

https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/crunchy-snap-pea-popcorn-salad-8598011?soc=facebook

1/3 cup popcorn kernels
Vegetable oil, as needed for popping
White Cheddar popcorn seasoning, for the popcorn
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 shallot, thinly sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cups sugar snap peas, strings removed, cut crosswise into thirds
1 cup shredded carrot
1 cup chopped celery plus 1/2 cup tender inner celery leaves
1 bunch watercress, trimmed and torn into bite-size pieces

Don't you dare call this cultural appropriation of white Midwestern food - Yeh was born in Illinois.

I might try that if it was stuffed with German potato salad.

Adding watercress for that "peppery kick" is farking peak bland white people food trope.

Popcorn Salad... don't got enough liquor in me today to deal with that video or concept.

I've been using popcorn instead of croutons for my salad for years.

This is just a watercress salad with popcorn and ranch dressing. Nothing stunningly odd about it.

Lost me at 1/2 cup of mayonnaise...
